In late June of 2023 I decided I was going to create a shop on Etsy and sell POD - the thing is, I dont use A.I. to create my designs. I use Illustrator and Photoshop. YOU are the reason I tried and became successful. I'm approaching 440 sales and each month my stats improve. YOU are the reason I believed I could do it. YOU sharing your experiences and your testimony of trial, error, and time is the reason I went forward. I'm all in and loving it. Thank you.

I wanted to start POD shop for a long, long time, but I was actually too scared of failure. I started last week, finally. We'll see how it goes. To me 20-30k/mo is just crazy amount of money, I'd honestly be super happy with 200-500$/month (and it's still unbelievable to me!). I hope I don't get discouraged after not seeing sales in the next few months. I feel like I have an eye for design, but that's probably not that important anymore. Fingers crossed anyway. Thanks for the video!

I don't make that amount of money in a year, postgrad educated, average salary in middle management is about £25-30k a year in the UK, I'm a single mum with a mortgage, I have watched your channel for awhile, and I have started setting up an Etsy shop but I'm still learning - all I would need is £200k and it would absolutely change my life! I'm sure there are a lot of people like me. Thank you for all your great informative videos, they are awesome!

We both started KZbin channels around the same time (Dec 22'), and cover similar topics. In the course of ~12 months you have grown your channel to 100X more subscribers than I have, which is incredible! This was a refreshing take on your story & growth, and the fact you posted 1x per week ALL year is a testament to consistency being a huge factor in YT success (which I admittedly have struggled with). I'd love to collab one day in the future, best of luck in 2024!

I think it cause your videos don’t seem very descriptive and at least the ones I watched weren’t nearly as well taught while also being shorter. So not only does he explain 2x the amount in half the time, but his videos are also two times longer a lot of the time, giving his vids 4x value. Maybe try to script more, that was the biggest problem I had, seemed way to unstructured to follow your vids
@Gabu1155 ай бұрын
Very informative videos tho for sure, just watched one, I think it might just need to be a little more script
@sidehustlessimplified5 ай бұрын
Wow, I really appreciate the feedback! I know I need to work on better script writing and teaching. I am just now starting to realize that...I didn't realize longer videos were better...I have been trying to keep them short because I assume people just lose interest! Thank you, I needed this kind of feedback!@@Gabu115

What I need the most is the step-by-step, with the mistakes and all.

Hey, Alek. Have you ever contemplated doing Etsy shop reviews? I feel like your insight as a successful print on demand seller could do well for sellers like me who are constantly wondering if we're on the right path. Helping us highlight any of the big mistakes we might be making. I know you've done videos before on mistakes shops make. But I feel a more in depth look at someone's shop could help address the problems they might be having.

Thank you for everything Alek. I have a brick & morter shop that I have had for 8 years now. We had been selling rather nicely until COVID hit and we had to close for a few months. We were able to reopen, but we never gained back the sales & clients after that. We created an online presence, but it was not as busy as we had hoped. I started watching your videos over the last year and have started adding more options to our forum. Next, we will start creating KZbin videos to showcase some of our merchandise. You really have provided a core model that we were able to make our own. Keep up the great work & I wish you the best in 2024!

Your content is great. I’ve spent a lot of time setting up an Etsy business in 2023 (actually rehashing the one I started in 2018 and have neglected up to now). But I don’t like that Etsy is so difficult to communicate with and that they can crash your business in a second without (apparent) cause. So after progressing my Etsy shops to a point and not being able to get Etsy support to solve some access issues with them I have stalled on progressing them and spent the last 2 months setting up a Shopify store. Wow what a relief after Etsy. So the point of this comment is - it would be great for you to do some videos about setting up a Shopify busines. (Which I’m guessing you have also). 😊😂

Thanks so much Aleks. Can you make a video on how to set up an Etsy business and make it as passive as possible? Did you hire help? I found the customer service aspect of Etsy is INSANE, something I did not expect!! An etsy business does not deserve the term of "passive" in my mind. It takes sooooo much time to communicate with customer enquiries: late orders, lost orders, faulty orders, custom requests... etc... ridiculous. Not even considering coming up with new listings and creating mock ups. Appreciate your insights.

Alek, first of all, congratulations for all of the success you've earned this year. It's been inspiring to watch, although I'm not currently doing POD and it's been hit or miss with me. (This is the third Gmail account I've started following you on. ;-) ) I now understand why KZbinrs don't like to disclose their store / shop names to viewers and it makes me sad, but unfortunately that's the way things go. Just from seeing the number of "my favorite child" riffs that have overwhelmed POD EVERYWHERE, I can understand the impact this would have on your own shop. That being said, you produce amazing videos and exceptional content and I hope that you continue to grow and succeed as you have been. Have a very blessed and wonderful New Year and I look forward to seeing what you create next!

Once upon a time I was successful and my life was pretty much balanced. Then I got ill, had to make a move from California to Europe, where I am at now. I have lost everything (almost). I barely make it from one month to another. My question is ... Can I make it and be success again, this time on the Internet platform? I am 43 years old, totally broke but eager to build something valuable, help people while making and building a personal brand. Is it possible at 43 to even make it? If so what would you suggest where to start? Thank you again and I wish you to move your businesses to where them you want them to be. I think your KZbin channel has been improving. Peace, Lukas

Love this video! Your videos really helped me get through the early beginning challenges and to stay motivated. My shop has grown a lot and I'm super excited to keep it growing for the foreseable future. I think print on demand is a good place to start with Etsy, but I think if one moves onto their own brand and their own shop they can create a lot more income. You also have the potential to sell the shop later down the line for millions. And from there you can buy businesses or cash flowing real estate properties to create wealth. But I agree, it's a great place to start! You can also make a lot with You Tube depending on how far you want to go with it. I love my privacy so I probably wouldn't go that route, although it is tempting. Best of luck in 2024 and thanks for being such an inspiration!!! :)

I really appreciate you sharing your experience with us. Right now, I’m a romance writer still trying to get that business performing better. In the last year, medical issues have made things much more difficult. My husband has Parkinson‘s and will need to quit working in 2024. This leaves me to bridge the gap and my romance writing is not going to do that, at least not yet. I want to find a job where I can make money with AI and I feel like print on demand and selling digital art could be one avenue. Your video I watched the other day mentioned failure because you never start. That’s where I am now but 2024 has to be the year I start. So thanks for your insight and I wish you,and everyone else, a successful year in 2024. 🎉

"Failures" are the best lessons in life. No reason to feel bad. We all fail at times in our lives. Thomas Edison failed multiple times before he perfected the lightbulb. It's sold pretty good since then. Here are two of Edison's quotes regarding success: “I have not failed ... I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work"; and his second famous quote is this one - “Genius is one percent inspiration, ninety-nine percent perspiration.”
