Good morning! Middle 60s here now; headed toward upper 70s today. Might have to break out the shorts for this afternoon’s tball game with grandson. I hate to blind everyone with my pale white legs though! I sure wish it would dry out a little over in the western Ozarks- the logging operation is turning into a 2-3-year project. We’re going to have trees regrowing in the logging roads that I want to keep as functional trails and firebreaks. Some fences and gates have had to come out to get trucks in and need to get rebuilt too. Just a lot of projects kind of on hold until the logging finishes. Oh well. I have a few things to do around the shed that don’t have to wait, so I’ll get hopping on those. Getting electrical service to the shed is a big one. Solving my drainage problem is also big. Fun stuff!

In my area sawmills sell slabs by the truckload or bundle. People buy them and then cut them up for firewood. They are good to use to mix with larger pieces as you burn the wood.

Can't believe how well that filled in. Looks good. Kind of fun to see what is hidden 6 feet deep. I didn't expect the big layers of shale to pull out like that. It is nice after you rip something up to see it all back in place as good as it ever was. Liked how you worked it from a couple different angles to get it smooth. I removed a rock in a field one time that ended up being about 10 times the size I thought it was. but, it all back filled just fine and I smoothed it out like you did. kind of at 90 degree angles so you don't get ridges... all level. fun to watch.

It’s amazing how the land can be so different from region to region. In my general area, the depth of soil is only a few inches to a few feet over solid bedrock. However, not more than 20 miles south, east, or west of me is mostly rich, deep soil that is perfect for growing crops. I have a hard time growing weeds LOL!

Mike meatloaf is also my favorite. A few video ago you ask for ideas on a retaining walls on this video i have notice some good size stone a dry rock stone wall looks pretty sharp and it also let the draining come trough it. For the people that don't know what a dry rock wall is, it is a neatly stack wall with the stone but no concrete it is a little more difficult but from my point of few i like it better more original and it would kind of match the Rosetta stone on your building

I could really use an excavator to clean out a culvert at the road under my driveway. Long needed attention. I unfortunately had to dig with an old fashioned shovel. I do have the kubota to shovel into the bucket to haul the dirt removed. Huge help. My wife said I think you need a digger. Ha.

Probably a lot more economical to stick with the hand shovel. Plus if you buy a “digger”, that opens the door for the wife to go spend a heap.
