One thing that lowkey messed me up this week is that I had my first kiss with my crush (It wasn’t like a full blown real makeout but still a good short and sweet kiss) and I didn’t even get butterflies. we’ve had a thing for the past month, he’s said he’s loved me and I’ve said it back (I meant it like I love him as a person, no way am I IN love after only a month) but after the kiss I realize 3 things, 1) I shouldn’t have been scared about it because it was SOOO natural 2) he’s not the guy for me 3) we both agreed we were better off as friends... I never thought my first kiss would be an eye opener for me, I expected it to be so romantic and to have butterflies... but I didn’t, we legit laughed about it afterwards and we both still love each other we just realized it was in a different way. No one really knew about us because I’m a private person, which makes it easier so now I don’t have to explain to everyone why we ended up not dating... Plus I never got jealous with him, today a girl who’s our friend (she knew we liked each other a while back but didn’t know we still had a thing so no shade to her, I love that girl) told him she liked him. And I was honestly so happy for him. He talked to me about it and I told him pretty much that I’m okay and we’re okay and we will always be okay, there’s no negative energy, no bad vibes. I’m so happy for him and he’s so happy for me if someone comes into my life as well. And we agreed that if something happens later on then that’s great because we’re already comfortable with each other but for now we’re content just being friends who enjoy each other’s company. I literally cannot explain how uplifted I feel and how just at ease I am. I’m glad my first kiss was with my best friend and I’m honestly okay with the fact it wasn’t super romantic, I’m just glad it made me realize what I wanted and who I wanted and that this guy wasn’t it... I can admit tho he was a good kisser at least 💖

Girl don’t think that! Last year was my most insecure year. I thought my nose was huge and my acne is bad. For the first time, I got asked out(guy who literally asks everyone out just to have a girlfriend) and got asked to the dance(rapist) hehe it sucked and I said no to both. But this year I’ve learned to be more confident, and now my nose looks actually cute to me :). I thought it’d never work, but I got told to look at your insecurities and take the positive things about it. I was like, hah nothing. My advice is when you look in the mirror smile and pose. It sounds stupid, but it worked for me at least. 🤷‍♀️👌
