I went to a bike park this summer and like you, figured out some features i haven't hit before without a tow in and i was just as stoked on figuring out every thing by myself as i was doing the features. Good work bud!

This was my first ever season mountain biking and we did Keystone Basin in July. Absolutely stunning but MAN was it technical, I spend a lot of time taking my bike for a walk lol

FYI, if your brake ever dies like that you can open the bleed port on the lever and just add water while squeezing the brake lever. Obviously you would need to empty the line and refill later (maybe even blow out the system with compressed air), but it's enough to get you out of trouble. This should only be done as an emergency trailside repair.

Mistakes like this are the reason I have a cheap rechargeable light on my bars all the time... I really don't care about it but it's saved my ass a couple of times on the ride back.

I recently rode this Keystone Basin trail with Wandering Wheels. Contrary to how this video makes this trail look with consistent downhill... this is one of those trails that is basically uphill in both directions. Still an epic ride and worthwhile but I feel the footage gives a false sense of how much descending there really is.

the trail and cabin were built in the 70s for hiking and back backing, The trail actually continues on but most ppl just bike to the cabin.

The first 2k or so of KSB will make you question how much you really like mtn biking as it is miserable. The remaining 10k will make you glad you paid the price of admission.....my rear hub melted down right at the cabin, had to push/glide all the way out....fun times

I find myself at that 50/50 do/ don't quite often. I'm 57 but inside I'd say I'm around 12 LOL. A crash takes a larger toll on you as you get older.

We hit Keystone a few years back. Looks like you hit it at the most beautiful time of year. You should be working on more fatbiking in the snow content. We had ours out in bragg creek a few times already. Plus there is no other good fatbiking channels on youtube.
