I have mained a priest for years. i love the class. there is so much utility and you feel nearly unkillable. you can run on water, mass fear, bubble heal, dots, like there is just so much you can do. Dont forget Mind Control/Vision/Sooth. One of my favorite things to do is mind control an enemy and let em kill themselves xd. And yes, we do have holy nova but it is complete garbage. you need so much spellpower and mana to make it work. Heres some perspective, My 60 priest in prebis needs to flask of wisdom (+2000 mana) to boost stocks. Back in classic i needed minimum of tier 2 to do it without a flask. it just doesnt do enough damage and takes too much mana. O, and that includes Darkmoon Deck: Blue Dragon in both scenarios. You MIGHT be able to use zg trinket the other one that does the same to temporarily boost spellpower but then u wait on cds between pulls. Holy Nova is just bad.

Yea priest is amazing. It’s a little slow, at least the levels I was able to play but man it feels extra good in HC. Only character I’ve got into the late 30s and only died when I got lazy trying to just book it out of a fully respawned cave..

I played both retail and classic HC recently, for 2 mounts since Dragonflight. And I keep gravitating to classic HC more and more over that time. Retail is just a clusterfuck of game systems -one second your are zooming on dragon then you are dismount straight into mindless combat, -then you open map for that next q. objective at the same time you see world event and go off the course, -then you somehow end up in capital city doing profession related things while you constantly minimize to look for tutorials because, you don't understand new prof system, -then you realize you don't have items and get annoyed with complexity, go back to that q. objective then suddenly que calls you for random dungeon. -finally you finish the quest looking for more but you realize its a gated content. ... after all that you get tired and come become depressed about of meaningless and mindless things you where doing and you start running around city in circles.

I mean if you've only touched pvp you can't really get whats going on in mythic raids. Same as if people doing just mythic raids went to do high rank arenas for the first time. It's a bit weird of a comparison. You go thru normal/hero/mythic and after heroic there's usually just 1 added mechanic. So if you played the content it's really not that complicated.

I could get whats going in pvp and raids in older versions of WoW without ever being a top pvp'er or raider

About the casual underatanding the top end players, why shold a casual know somthing about a part of the game that they will never play ? Actualy 1% of player base do al 20 keys in time , and for pvp is the same , why shold casuals know what the 1% of player base is duing if they never going to play at that lvl ?
