About tailgate plz read the Harrier manual. The button is not dummy, but it's not hands free. Someone can open the tailgate if u unlock it being 70meter away from car. If u press it once, tailgate is free to open for 30second. After 30sec tailgate locks again automatically Key range is 76mt for tailgate button.

I think the 2nd problem you mentioned, that locking mechanism is actually a boon. In this uncertain world u know what happens when ur all 4 doors are unlocked at the same time with you alone in d car. Its not safe for u or ur belongings. I found it logical. You may see it differently.

Hey, Issue-2 is not an issue.. thers a way to unlock all 4 doors without unlocking with that knob. Just pull the door handle slightly..it gets unlocked.. its simple and easy :) Issue-4 Sound getting lowered. You can change it in your audio amd vehicle setup settings, thats actually a safety feature so that u dont get distracted while reversing :) Issue 5 When your car is locked and u want to acces only the boot.. press and hold that key button for 3-4secs.. boot will unlock and if u do not open it within 30 secs. It will lock automatically again. :) Hope that helps

The unlocking button that you mentioned was missing, is really not necessary. If you pull the door opening handle on the driver's side, just half the way. The doors unlock. You really don't have to open the lock, to open all locks

At the time of reverse camera the volume level which was increasing and reducing for parking sensors beep sound..... You can make setting auto volume mute in reverse gear... Long press boot open button on key for three second to unlock boot it's not dummy ....I m also harrier xza+ owner owner .....

That button on the key is not a dummy button. It unlocks the boot doesn’t open it but unlocks it just for 1 time so if you don’t want to give someone key and don’t want to open the entire car but only want that person to take something from the boot then press that button and the boot can be accessed just once even without the key bye pressing the passive entry button. Try it once like this and you will get to know. I know this because I also have one and initially I also thought what you did until I realised how that button works.

About the reverse one the system mention please drive carefully and the volume decreases u should concentrate on the reverse full focus. I dont find any reason in having issues in that my brother.

Hi, I currently own a 2016 Skoda Octavia top variant and I wish to transition to the Tata harrier, took a test drive of the car and I liked it all except for a few bits and pieces with the quality and steeering feedback. Can you advise me as to what and all I would miss once I would switch from the skoda to the harrier? I love the gearbox,engine and the handling of the Octavia. Moreover I want to know what I can expect in terms of build quality, reliability etc (comparatively to the Skoda Octavia, I understand I'm trying to compare apples and oranges but I wish to know leaving apart the SUV and the Sedan aspect of the argument ) . Hey man It’s a tough decision keeping in mind the build quality and interiors of both are above the Indian standard (which is a pretty low standard to begin with). The harrier is a great car to own in many ways, but the old Tata reputation sometimes comes into play with electric calls often glitching and small noises hear and there. One thing I can definitely vouch for is the customer service, it’s brilliant. I would say it’s a fair comparison because of the costs. I think the harrier would be a far easier car to maintain and more usable Best of luck

Yeah that’s what I said, the key has to be in proximity to the car. The button has nothing to do with the doors being locked and the boot being able to open.

Issue 5 :- sirrrr the button is not dummy😂😂😂. If u have key with u the car will sense the key and we can open the boot . But if the key is a bit away we can't open the boot . But if we keep the key away and press the button then we can open the boot. Try it sir .

Yeah, Most issues you mentioned are genuine. No problems with the handbrake contraption? Also, did you try the Manual XZ+? Did you have the left knee fouling with the dashboard issues? Have they improved the rear view Camera on the 2020 version? I'm trying to decide between the XZA+ and the XZ+ Waiting for the Safari launch just to see if it might be a better deal. Bro that button is used to unlock the boot if the key is faraway from the car. For example if the key is with you and you qre far away from the car and if a person wants to open the boot near the car you can just press the button and it will unlock the boot

I think that boot release button on the key works but it works when you're certain distance away from the car and don't carry key near to car stay few meters away and press button and without key go to car it will be unlocked try it and reply

Yeah your 1st issue... i get it but once you get used to it i dont think it will be a problem atleast they have provided something no other in this segment provides. 2nd issue. Yes that will be a problem, but are you sure there is no way around it. I drive a 2016 tucson and i have a option in the funtion where i can lock and unlock the car when i put it in parking. Or i can lock the car with the speed and unlock the car when the driver door is opend without manually unlocking it. 3. Issue yes thats personal. 4th issue this is a safety function you have all latest cars when you reverse the volume is either reduced or there its 🔇. Harrier has an option in the infotainment systwm to change the settings. And when you keep the volume to the full and it wasnt annoying but when it comes back to the full volume after you shit from reverse then its annoying i didnt get that. 5.th issue i am not sure but what that button does to my tucson is only if i press and hold the boot lock is unlocked even when the other doors are locked. May be you should try that. 6. Issue as someone mentiontioned the visor has to go forward near the windsheild to block the rays. Thats how its done. Try the things i have mentioned and rwply back if possible

Never had a problem with the fuel & Def indicator they are different things placed on different places. If you steal the car maybe you'll get confused but if it's your car you know what is what. Def is small tugged at bottom corner while fuel indicator holds major centre part of mid shows kms left to empty & becomes red when fuel is low. The door lock I agree hope tata could follow vw & place a button which falls on the eyesight & hands of the driver but you get used to it when u drive on a daily basis. Footrest I agree 22 lakh car should have a good footrest. The reverse gear is a safety feature they reduce the volume of the music so that you can hear your surroundings & the parking sensors whose beep sound changes as you get nearer to hitting. Don't agree with the sunvisor either because you push it further back instead of keeping them like that. & even when I have kept like that it has not blocked my view maybe because I feel comfortable to drive with a low seat height. So I always keep my seat low but I never kept my sunvisor like that I always push it towards the windscreen blocks more sun that way

I own a new HarrierXZA plus. The steering doesn't feel stable and has lot of vibrations. Doesn't inspire confidence at high speeds. It makes truck like noises at parking speeds. Bad bad product😓👎

The auto lowering of sound during engaging reverse gear is actually purposefully there for safety and practical point of view to make u concentrate on reversing the vehicle..imagine like someone instructs u in emergency situation in city driving conditions, the lower sound will make instruction audible...just my perspective ..haha

I think innova ask too much for what it offers. Its definitely not worthy of 28 lacs on road. But the most precious thing you get with it is peace of mind. Otherwise, safari would be a great deal. Though I have not checked the car yet, but am sure safari would win. Personal choice and preferences also matter.
