I would recommend against having it as a daily unless you get a 2018+ after they revised the suspension, you’ll need a tune to make it a little smoother I would buy a cheap Camry 3000-5000 dollars and then buy the sti as a weekend/daily when there’s not a lot of traffic

New motor is going in the STI, and maybe even the WRX if I read it correctly? Either way I would recommend it to anyone if they're on the fence. It's a car that really puts you in touch with the road and driving. Just my own opinion.

Just make sure its a dream of yours to own one. I have a 2018 Sti. It feels like a cheep car stock. The audio in the car is trash so you will need a system. Till you get one tidal hifi or sirius satellite radio sounds ok on the speakers. Take it out in the snow and listen to your interior pannels make noise. I came from owning a 98 Audi A4 with tons of mods and 2003 Bmw 530i lowered on eibach springs with koni shocks on 20s. 1.8t Audi is no fun to work on so don't miss that. But just know if you buy this car your gonna wanna dynamat the car if you want it to sound solid. The stock shocks sound like a bomb went off on bottom out. Your gonna want some Ohlins Road & Track Coilovers for 2750 with tax. If it comes with 19s on 255 like mine did you want some more tire so it rides nice. 265 and a 18" wheel is so much better. 5k for very nice rays wheels and tires or 3300 for the gram lights. Last is its expensive to build correct the first time. About 30k for the ets turbo kit and motor I want from bbr. Then you will be on a forged motor that only lasts 50 k to 100k at best. I wish I would have read this info before I bought one. Love the car now but I bought it for a daily driver (Its my weekend toy now not daily) and if I did it again I would have got a 5.0 mustang or New m3. Last is they sell for no more than 8k over a stock one with mods so make sure your gonna be happy with it before you spend tons of cash on it.

HK sound system is trash and the subwoofer is weak. 4. Road noise is brutally loud. 5 2018 19 inch rims are nicer looking. 6. Oem brembo 6 piston brakes create way too much dust, need to be ceramic pads 7. Stock exhaust sucks 8. 310.hp is way to low and, needs to be at least 360hp, 400hp would be perfect 9. LED lowbeam cant be replaced if bulb dies, its a one piece unit and its about $2000 per side for a new headlight lense. 10. Engine still burns oil after 20 years of this engines existence. 3000k oil change intervals and still burns oil. 11. Radio is garbage and still has CD player lol, screen is too small, almost have to upgrade to Idoing head unit so you get more power to the speakers .
