totally agree with you..I live in Sydney and especially for younger people the rents are ridiculous and cost of living getting even harder..was wondering which part of the countryside you are in..hope you’re enjoying it.

It’s a bit hard to compare cost of living because everything could be 2x the price, but if wages are 2x higher then there’s no net difference. Also, the tax rate might be half in one country, and have better hospitals, roads, child care etc.

That’s true! But I think the main thing that Australia beats japan is the healthcare/Medicare system Japan has crazy good dental though (Australia is essentially none 😭)

Just got back from Osaka….clean yes, no graffiti yes, trains ran on time……..but finding fresh fruit, nope….finding a salad….nope…..tons of people, yep……rag tag buildings surrounding cultural sites…yep….a normal breakfast…nope……air quality not great…….like any country good and bad

You can find some for dirt cheap and even free ones! But they’ll need reforming and might be a bit isolated in the countryside, but cool nonetheless!
