I've seen way too many shows and movies where the dead people get up in funeral homes and morgues to ever live in an apartment in a funeral home. I wouldn't be afraid of it actually happening. I would just not be able to stop thinking of those scenes as I laid in bed every night.

During my 2nd deployment, my first day at our new Patrol Base, the unit we were relieving warned us that a guard tower was haunted. I just kind of laughed it off and thought nothing of it. I was more concerned with the fact that insurgents were trying to kill us. Months go by, and I completely forgot that anyone even mentioned that tower being haunted. I spent many long nights in that tower without a care in the world. Well, one night I was in the tower with an Iraqi soldier. Neither of us spoke one another's language, so it was naturally a very quiet experience. A few hours go by, and we both hear someone climbing up the metal ladder that led to the top of the guard tower. Both myself and the Iraqi soldier looked at each other, then stood up because we didn't want to get in trouble for sitting down on guard duty. The noise grew closer, and suddenly the metal door began to open, and we saw hands coming through the opening. The the hands quickly withdrew after a few seconds and the metal door slammed shut really loud. I rushed over to the door and opened it to see what was going on and there was no one there. The Iraqi soldier and I both stared at each other baffled about what just happened, unable to speak on another's native tongue. It was about a 100-foot climb, there's no way someone could have gotten down the ladder that fast. I immediately got on the radio and called my platoon sergeant to see if my friend, Brooks, was in his bunk, because I thought it had to be an elaborate prank. But I learned that he was sleeping. The tower was really isolated and there's no way you could really approach or leave the tower without being seen. I spent the next hours really confused and wanting to hurry up and get off of my shift so I could tell everyone what just happened. After I told everyone the story, they reminded me that that was the haunted ghost tower, and I was naturally freaked out and volunteered to take less ideal guard towers for my shifts after that event.

We saw lights and ghost in a building all the time called the kill house in Kajaki. A bunch of soviets made their last stand in that building, ran out of ammo and the mujahideen skinned them alive on the second floor in the shower stalls on the shower room. You could see the bullet wholes and finger drag marks on the wall still in 2011.

I've heard some horror stories abt that place from other vets of the area... there's some around here too it's just hard to find them first-hand from the ppl who were ACTUALLY there, but they're around! One of them a group of guys were disoriented due to radio issues and the ghost of a Soviet actually helped them out- saved the group from being bombarded by sky-fire.

I had a family member that was actually a patient at Manteno mental hospital back in the day. She ultimately died there after years of being committed. I went there a few times as a teenager and the place is creepy af. Heard there were underground tunnels there that are untouched with medical files. Never did find them though.

I'm not sure I believe that story. How could two people keep hanging around after seeing a hand grab and slam a big metal door that then echoed loudly. How would they not run out of there at that point? Very unbelievable.

Thank you so much. Excellent reading and unusual video. So thrilling to imagine hitech military force versus paranormal. The GI forgot that between Alexander of Macedonia and the Soviets there were Buddhist penetration of Afghanistan, maybe not very peaceful, the Muslims came, certainly not peaceful, then Mongols and then British. Truly Afghanistan is if not the graveyard of civilization then surely a huge military cemetery.

Please learn correct history. You inserted that others “weren’t so peaceful” but Muslims “certainly not peaceful”. It took 300 years for Islam to spread on land of Afghanistan after initial conquest, mainly via scholars. Mongols (worst) and Alexander were the most ruthless in terms of their massacres and destruction, followed by Soviets and British. Also, Afghanistan should be renamed “Birthplace of Empires, Graveyard of Imperialists/Colonists”

Do you ever reach into the backseat while driving. In some attempt to feel if there is an attacker, in the fetal position on the floor of the backseat? Oh, man! What if one night, I went to do that. And it went: floor, seat, face! ... What do I do? Just. Put my seat back real fast? You know, if the attacker were waiting in my hot car all day. He would be pretty tired from it. Probably dehydrated. In fact, I would be slightly worried about him. "You okay, bud? Huh? You want some water?"

After making so many videos the quality of content he's pulling from Reddit(and submissions) have gone way down. These are just creative writing from young kids, which is why they sometimes don't make sense and aren't as genuinely creepy as the old ones. I think he should find a better place to look for content (or get more picky Abt what he reads).

I use to see ghosts when I was a child. The most scariest time was when I was sleeping in my room at my mothers house and it was almost pitch black. I woke up to go pee and saw a woman above my bed on top of me just looking at my face. She was pale white and had black eyes. I tried to punch the ghost because I was terrified, but my hand went right throught her. I jumped out of bed and switched the light on and she wasn't there anymore. My room had nobody in. The second time that was most scariest was when I was playing hide and seek with my brother and cousin at my mothers house. We were in the living room and I went to hide in the hallway because it had a little cabinet underneath the stairs, but before I even got the chance to hide in the cabinet I saw a white orb coming down the stairs and frantically started trying to open the living room door, but my cousin and brother where behind it blocking me from getting back in. The last time I actually saw a ghost though was a few months ago. I was at my dad's house watching a movie. Usually you can hear footsteps in the front bedroom (my old bedroom as a kid when I use to visit my dad) late at night or you hear weird things. I went to the bathroom/restroom and everything was normal, just the usual eerieness from the bedroom (it's in front of the bathroom/restroom and my dad leaves the door open with the lights off. I left the bathroom/restroom after I was done and walked down the steps in the dark (the light for the stairs is broken) and when I was halfway down the steps I just felt a cold hand touch me and the hairs on the back of my neck stood up so I looked behind me and I saw the most terrifying thing I ever saw. There was a big tall woman wearing a white dressing gown and her face and hands were pure black. I ran down the remaining steps as fast as I could and told my dad. He told me he had an experience where he saw someone levitating at the bottom of his bed and thought it was my brother, but he then realised it can't be as my brother doesn't live there. Safe to say I haven't been back to my dad's in 3 months.

The very last story felt like it started several sentences in from the beginning… maybe even a few paragraphs. The word "she" was used several times but who the "she" was, had not been mentioned at all. I finally figured out "she" was the author’s grandmother because the author mentioned that "she" and their grandfather slept in separate bedrooms for comfort reasons. Also, at the beginning of the story the author mentions something about how "she" sees them in "her" dreams and they see "her" in their dreams and that they discuss the dreams sometimes when this happens. That part did not fit in with the rest of the storyline. I would think the story told was just a passage taken from a much longer story. But, that’s just me and my opinion! It was still a good story, just a bit confusing. 💜😁
