I think the main thing I wished I learned sooner was to give yourself grace. You're never going to know everything, you have to learn. And while I wish I had the same confidence and kindness to myself in my 20s that I do now I know what it took to get here.

I learned when I turned 27 how important it is to foster love for lifelong learning and reading (actual books). All this social media discourse and listening to a million podcaster opinions everyday will turn your brain into mush, guaranteed lol

Hey girl! Happy Sunday 💃🏾 🤎. I LOVE older me. I just turned 36 and I love it. I've developed these things in my early 30s:- - My discernment is top tier (I always had it....I just listen to it more lol) -I mind my business. If it don't concern (or my mom) I really don't care. I've been told that I'm great to talk and listen to.- Now I'm not going to give you my advice (that you asked for) more than 3 times. We can't be living in the same cycle over and over lol. This is why I tell my friends if you know you gonna stay with your man, don't bad talk him with me (cuz I won't forget as easily as you). Let me know peace lol -I love my peace. Please leave me alone with all the drama. I've made my life drama free so I'm not gonna take on yours -I pay for convenience as well (IDC 😂) - My health is my wealth. That's all I can remember for now 😂😂😂

I'm old enough to be her and most your moms. ..lol ( yes we follow you too) Don’t forget massage, acupuncture and stretch therapy. These are very affordable and a MUST! At least once a month, but weekly or every other week is best. Self-preservation 101. You come first. PERIODT! As an esthetician, skincare prevention is best.

These were great. For me, meditation, hydration, and stretching are key and I wished I learned that earlier but you have to go through something to learn something. 36 years and I feel really balanced.

I wished I'd known that if you have a friend that tells you all their other friends business, all their families business they'll tell all your business too. Which should bring up the question of whether they're a friend or a associate. People will watch your life like it's a sitcom, for entertainment purposes

Most of my 20's have been me realiing I'm that bad person in many people's stories. After a bad breakup with a guy i hurt multiple times I actually decided to start doing the work and being better. SOO many people will never forgive me but I still have 2 years of my 20's to make it better

Loved this Podcast, yes I’d tune in everyday. THIS WAS SO GOODT! I’m like you, I paid for the convenience of the hair while I did my own makeup. Even now, I’m particular about others touching my face. I’ve gotten better because MUA’s are more of a variety now. Whereas back then, the only ones they’d hire for a shoot or event weren’t my own people.

Yeah I’m picky on who touches my face

I agree with everything that you said. A big one I wished I would have known earlier is " Do not make yourself uncomfortable to make other people comfortable" " You don't owe anyone anything" And as for me and hair, m hair is the longest it has ever been, I care for it myself.. But doing it?... No lmao NO... But I do intend to take a class on doing hair because I want kids so I gotta be able to do the kids hair. So that is one of my goals

The part about people purposely poking you! Whew! Just ended things with a guy and in the midst of me doing that, he started jabbing me. I peeped game and gradually started shutting down. I still get the occasional urge to curse him out but being silent feels too good to do that. Also, the part about people hitting you up out of the blue when they want/need something ✌🏾

I always hated doing my hair but I could do some things with it. During the pandemic, I learned to relax it, a resemblance of braids, dye it, and even shave it off. I’m 46, just started learning about/wearing makeup two years ago so yes, I went out without any type of makeup to functions. I honestly just wasn’t interested. Yes, I wish I had learned earlier but it wasn’t the end of the world. Now learning to walk in heels, yes, I wish I had learned that.

@@andreamagwood7050 I came to KZbin soon after turning 50 specifically to learn makeup application. I'd been saying for years that I'm a mascara and lipstick woman. When the truth was I wasn't confident that I could do makeup and not look like a 🤡. 😂. That's 11 years ago and I've done makeup at a photoshoot and I do my daughter and her friends makeup occasionally. My nephew got married and the day of his wedding his fiancee had MUAs do are makeup and the MUA that did my face did a awful job. Of course I had my makeup with me but decided not to do I wouldn't hurt my future nieces feelings.

My mom's friend daughter had a lot of people around her newborn. Someone had Meningitis and gave it to the baby. I try to avoid newborns because I could be sick and don't want to infect the baby.
