Some people aren't taught self esteem or learn how to love themselves because their parents or parent didn't love themself. Also abuse and trauma at a young age are contributing factors to staying in these types of relationships. Obviously when these women realized what was going on and finally learned to have self respect they got out. It's easy to judge if you've always had confidence and self esteem but those things have to be taught from a young age.
