Yes bro same here. I broke down on the phone with my sister today. This is a week after getting my first tattoo on my forearm, it’s a date memorial tattoo. I cried and cried thinking, “are people going to treat me differently?” “Will I get discriminated against?” But I realized, f it. I've met a cool lady who was a social worker, she had a chest piece and sleeves and think she had tattoos on her back and legs as well. I actually felt more relaxed in her presence, than I would with someone who didn't have those. Luckily, tattoos have become so common that most jobs no longer require that you don't have any visible tattoos or piercings. Also a really good thing that our banker or lawyer or doctor can have things like this to remove the stigma that a person with many tattoos must be a "bad guy" or dodgy and one to avoid. It's just as much of an expression as your choice of clothes and hairstyle. And after all, your body is YOUR body. Not everyone else's. :)

That's really cool! :D I'm glad there are people like you out there that helps remove the stigma. I don't have any tattoos myself, yet. But I'd love to get a sleeve some day, and I've had it planned for years. I just need to find the right artist, since I want mine to look like pencil drawings, acrylic paint stains and watercolours (I'm a portrait painter and I tend to use my arm as a palette, which often ends up making my arm look like an artwork, lol). We live in Sweden, when you go out here in the summer the only comments you get are from older people saying "I wish I had the balls to tattoo myself" Most people nowdays are tattooed so it's not that big of a deal anymore. My left forearm is blacked out, and it only took 3 sessions. They were spread out mainly because of the swelling and healing process, not the pain of the tattoo itself. People will say "anyone can do solid black," but I can say from experience that this is not true. I've seen some mangled skin from large blackwork, done by respectable artists, and some really uneven healed results. As always, don't take tattoo advice from someone who isn't heavily tattooed.

I am a heavily Tattooed woman and I personally think that if you're big enough to get Tattoos; you should be big enough to cope with the questions and comments. You can't just get heavily tattooed and not expect a reaction when they're on show. Whilst I totally understand that people can be rude about Tattoos; at the same time you've got to expect a reaction because it is not common for everyone and you have to keep in mind that you've done them for yourself; no one else and it's your own life and I think that makes peoples comments easier to handle. I do HATE what these lovely people are saying they also hate and go through in this video; but I expected people to react before I even got tattoos, and I think that this video is something to seriously consider before getting Tattoos.

If you are dumb enough to make a decision or think of something simply based on appearance then that says it all really. While I am covered in ink, everything is able to be covered. This is simply because I really don't have the pain threshold for it on my head or neck. For employers, if you make a decision based on looks rather than someone's ability to do the job, you really are shooting yourself in the foot. I'd take a single worker covered in tattoos that knows the job well over 10 useless staff members that look as the company wants them to. Again though, sadly some people like to judge because they lack any capacity to understand reasoning. While I can't speak for other areas, here in the UK now most people do have tattoos, ranging from small pieces up to full body suits. Seems to have become far more acceptable in recent years and it's actually a pretty good conversation starter. If I'm out for the night I generally have random people stop me to chat about where I got them done and how long it all took. So while some dislike it, it's actually good from a social point of view aswell.
