I have nothing but praise for Royal Caribbean. Recently my adopted daughter who is a new employee suffered the tragic loss of her young son in her home country. Royal Caribbean paid her a full month's wages and flew her half-way around the world and then back after over a month off to take care of the arrangements and to grieve. By all accounts, Royal Caribbean is a class act. They are reasonable and professional which is why they are the industry standard in how a cruise line is to operate.

Ham radio is one that is listed, but also was listed on Carnival. Just to bring on unknown is a problem but with permission of the line, captain, and an authority allowing you to operate in the countries you are attending, then it is allowed. I have done this myself

TIPS if your ship has a soft serve machine there’s a cabinet next to it open that and there’s a cup get 2 cups and fill them with the mixed vanilla and chocolate. Then go to the windjammer and get a cup and a hot chocolate packet and put it in the cup then get a bit of hot water and mix it together. Then fill it up with milf and stir in the ice cream. My friend and I made these on voyager of the seas and the staff loved it we should spread this around so everyone does it but credit us lol

I could see why it's strange but there are special urns that you can buy and they will sink to the bottom of the ocean and become either a home or part of the oceanic life. It's a way that some people prefer to be buried- a way that they can become part of the Earth. We did it for my grandmother, as it was something she had always wanted.

True story. While on a Hawaiian cruise we were just pulling away from the dock in Kaui and I was on our balcony watching. It was windy and I leaned a bit over the balcony railing to look towards the front of the ship and when I did, I got a faceful of cremations. The woman in the adjacent cabin was dumping the remains of a family member off of her balcony. And get this - the cremations weren't in a fancy urn but a Zip-Loc baggie! I called her out on it and she ran back into her cabin offering no explanation or apology. I contacted Guest Services and they contacted her and her husband denied it but when he was told I had accused the wife, not him, he fessed up. Nothing happened to her and we only received an apology from Guest Services, not the woman who did it.

@VeRoxSadie ships do not allow high current devices (toasters, hot air hair blowers, etc). You can plug in as many low current devices (alarm clocks, sub chargers, etc) as you want with no problems. If you put 2-3 outfits in a dry cleaners bag (the ones you get when you have your clothes dry cleaned), none of your clothes wrinkle! We did not believe it till we tried it. We hang our clothes on those thin flocked hangers (put pants under a top for maximum space) and when you get to your room you are unpacked in 5 minutes. We have been on 44 cruises and have been doing this for the past 25 or so and it is wonderful!

I'm a pretty savvy veteran cruiser on RCL, but I learned a new item that you will not be allowed to bring on board ship. Squirt Guns. I brought along some toys to have fun with on the private island, and even though they were empty, my plastic squirt guns were confiscated until I got them back, after disembarking in Miami. I found this a bit of a stretch to ban plastic toys, but they are getting very nit picky. So don't try bringing them along.
