Great video Anne. I might not be considering moving to a foreign country but the wisdom you've shared here applies even to a person like me who lives in their own Country, especially the zero drama attitude which I have to say is the rule I live by UNTIL... I sense even the slightest attitude/disrespect from the W.ite r.a.c.e ☺ ( if you were South African you would understand this trigger point) BUT.. just from listening to your video, I'm going to work hard on changing this as well and try not to nitpick & overthink and be quick to confront if I'm faced with a trigger point from this r.a.c.e. So two key takeaways for me: 1. Pray more and give every challenge to God's will ( I tend to over thing until lose my precious sleep when I don't have control over a problem) 2. Stop nitpicking and making a mountain out of every situation triggered by the above-mentioned

Swazi perhaps you should forget about being racist yourself, and instead not pull the race card as a reason to dismiss someone's attitude toward you. I get the impression you're hyper sensitive and perhaps that might make people antagonistic toward you? Also, how many human races are there??? JUST ONE. So stop calling people of various colours a "race" 'cos that is nonsensical. That aside, Ann those are pearls of wisdom, and they apply to everyone, everywhere. I think some people just attract negativity because of their attitude. You don't.

Thanks for the video and everything you said is so true ... I live in Germany now 5 years what I did and it has worked for me is that I left my Kenyanness in the Airport in Kenya and came here like a baby I was born ,fresh and ready to learn what this new World is all about.German is not a place to mix cultures for beginners learn all that is German and you will have an easy time.

Thank you so much. There is a lot of misleading information, full of negativity, about living in Germany as an African, so I am happy to hear your honest opinion! Living in America has made me to learn how to be self sufficient. Here, women are independent - we work hard and carry our own weight. Living here has also made me to mind my own business. Americans do not visit their neighbors and they do not care about how someone is living their lives. Everyone is free to live as they like. Yes Sis without prayers I would not make it in America. Prayers have saved my life, my health and my work. Prayers is the key to a happy life. Jesus is everything to me. He's my source and my rock.🤷🏾 Love you Ann and thanks for all the times that you and other members on this platform have prayed for me. I also keep you all in my prayers. Love you Sis❤❤.

I live in Europe, happy to live their and not in a country where people ''don't care about their neighboors''... like social poor America. In Europe whe have at least 6 weeks hollidays and a couple of weeks fee etc... We work to live and don not live to work.

Lovely video again Ann, but you should not box all Africans over a billion people in 1 Box, Even in Africa you have different LSMs not everyone is about other people's business. In fact, I find it more here in Germany especially in small villages ( an LSMS group) that do that more than the LSM of Africans I come from. If by drama you mean us black women who don't allow people to touch our hair or make racist remarks then that's not drama that standing up for ourselves. If you want to see how some Westerners ( Germans) in small villages are, just start doing renovations to your house, because they will call officials so quick on you to see if you complied.

Aah imagine i do allow them to touch if they ask, many accassions i do allow my colleagues and some many others to touch my natural hair for me it's OK. I mentioned Africans because majority do exactly what i said Anyway no big deal

Make sure you take care of your own needs and well being! Assimilation....which is the process in which a minority group or culture, assumes the behaviors, values, rituals and beliefs of their Host country's majority group. It takes time, sometimes generations and immigrants should be able to retain their unique culture without worry. Assimilation is often in response to pressure from a more predominant culture, and to conform is a solution for immigrants to survive and stay safe. Cultural assimilation has taken place throughout history. It is sometimes a divisive political issue and some in the public hold the view that European immigrants assimilated quicker in the past than minority groups are doing in the present. In America some Whites see minority immigrants as a threat to their culture. What can we do. 🤷‍♀️ Love and Prayer is the solution! Love to all!🥰🥰🥰
