Yes, but actually no. I live in Japan atm and I can tell you it's definitely a double edged sword. Service is usually great, but it means it's often taken advantage of. I would never, ever in my life want to work with service in Japan. It was bad enough when I tried it in other countries. Also the government does its best to micromanage people and definitely doesn't trust anyone to take care of themselves or their responsibilities. Maybe it's just because I'm a foreigner, but the times I have to prove that I'm not an idiot even though I don't speak the language fluently is mind boggling.
