I think the reason why they've stayed together so long is simple, monogamy. Gay people act like it isn't a big deal to be in an open relationship, but man it is, as a gay dude trying to find someone comitted to a relationship I've found it extremely hard to find someone who won't be sleeping around with other guys.

It's already been 7 years!?!?! I remember finding you when I was a 18yo baby gay and looking at you two thinking that I want a relationship like you two got. Fast forward a few boyfriends and a failed engagement, your content is always refreshing to see pop up in my feed. I love seeing your life as a couple. Not as a gay couple, but just as a couple. I have quietly watched this channel since it was Zach and B. Before the wonderful Alastair, when it was just a boy and his dog. Those were fun times, but Zach and the channel evolved into a variety of very fun offerings. Alastair's book reviews, the movie reviews, the many hours of fun family events. The date videos of Zach and Alastair. Getting to know the relationship and watch it grow. THE WEDDING. The adventures in moving. All so much fun to watch. COVID, both the boys get sick and have to take care of each other. The Thanksgiving we ALL MISSED DUE TO COVID. But that night I had Thanksgiving with Zach and Alastair. I’ve probably said this before In an earlier video but when I was just a kid learning that there was nothing I could do to change myself and that that was okay your coming out video actually sent me for quite the loop. After watching your video I actually had my very first panic attack and i started to have them frequently because I finally realized that I was without a doubt gay and that I couldn’t do anything about it, I was terrified. But I continued watching your videos and I watched as your love story unfolded and you taught me that it was possible for me to have an amazing life and your channel became this sacred safe space that I came to anytime I had a bad day to remind myself that a beautiful future is possible. Much love from that kid that was changed forever and learned their life was worth it.❤️❤️❤️

I never thought I could ever come out, given my circumstances. I never thought I'd ever find a boyfriend. I never-ever thought I'd find myself in a committed loving relationship with another man. However, it has all since happened for me. I thank you for your videos as they demonstrated those things were in fact attainable, that it can all be fine when it comes to family & friends, that it was okay to want what I wanted in a relationship, and that I don't have to feel like a lesser.
