@@dannyblitz2122 probably just good balance, speed wobbles happen mostly because when you’re going fast, your board is more sensitive to turning. If you had to ability to stand completely straight on your board it would likely never happen because your board will go straight unless you or the ground tells it not to.

as a downhill skateboarder, none of what he said was right wobbles will ALWAYS come from the back truck, so always keep your weight on your front foot as much as you can bent knees help, but only for your own balancing, they dont cause wobbles. tight vs loose trucks doesnt really matter. if you have weak ankles, you wont be able to control the loose trucks, but if you have strong ankles, the wobbles will actually be worse with tight trucks, more likely to throw you off your board rather than just feeling a little spicy under your feet. IF YOURE HILLBOMBING: make sure you know how to powerslide, comfortably. footbreaking at speed almost always ends in a crash, unless you are super practiced. powerslides are the best way to slow down.

Yeah this video was all just what you think you do if you have no idea about what speed wobbles come from, lol. Wobbles start when you get scared and shift your weight back usually. It’s easy to try yourself too, if you sit down on your board and go down a small hill with your butt over the back trucks you’ll start going out of control at like 4 mph.

You can also help prevent speed-wobbles by de-tuning the turn in the back truck vs the front. In slalom and LDP, this is achieved by using angled risers. On my LDP board, riding regular is very stable, but riding the board switch feels like backing up a trailer.

If you ever start getting speed wobbles again, just make sure your front foot is over the front bolts and put more weight on it. Cancels out speed wobbles nine times out of ten

About the speed wobbles (I ride long board but I'm pretty sure this could work for skateboarding too) when you ride a long board especially if you casual you naturally weave back and forth, when I catch speed wobbles I time them and weave in that direction and continue or I lift the front of the board straighten out and keep going, this works I even have loose trucks. I think since skateboards have those little lifts on the front and tail this could work to maybe even better But y'know you could always jump off.

As a long boarder who bombs big hill, I would not recommend going down a big hill on a skateboard to start The better brand of trucks and bushings you have the better DO NOT TIGHTEN YOUR TRUCKS! Loosen the back one and that will stable out most things Putting your weight on the front is the best way to stop a speed wobble

Another quick but kinda sketch way out of speed wobbles is to start manualing. No more speed wobbles if only 2 wheels on the ground. Have to hold the manual until you slow down. Saved my ass once.

When I was a beginner, i was riding home from school with my friends, and I wanted to look cool so I, as fast as possible, rode down this huge and steep hill and I started wobbling like crazy and I got launched onto the cold hard rode. I skate as loose as possible, to the point that everything is tuned to be ridden loose. my back wheels are looser than the front because of the way I stop, the front trucks are looser than the back because I turn left more than I do right. I have ultra soft bushings and slightly longer screws so I can screw it down as tight as possible to give it maximum room to loosen lmao (I have had my trucks fall of on me in stock settings)
