I hit 93 miles on the odometer today, it’s a great bike overall I don’t have a talaria or surron to compare it to but its always able to take me where I need to go and back, with still enough battery to ride around more. I usually just be cruisin on it but if you want that power it’s Lowkey got it. We will have to see what type of parts they come out with for the bike in the next year or so.

@@nbcursed1552 yeah! I think too many people hyper focus on the few reviews who got less than 30 miles per charge on sport. But have these people who worry so much about the range ACTUALLY ride more than 30 miles? I get exhausted riding an e-moto any more than 25 miles a day. Granted I’ve done a few range tests on my Razor and Talaria for 50 miles per charge (to test range on aftermarket batteries), but it was no fun lol.
@nbcursed15524 ай бұрын
@@PatOutdoors yeah fr, In all the range test videos they’re wide open in sport or race mode the whole time, if you are riding like that it will drain a lot quicker obviously. When I ride the mantis I like to keep it in eco and just respect the power fr n then when your able to hit the throttle u can put it in sport or race, at least that makes the whole experience more fun, rather than just having it in sport/race the entire time. Range is definitely not the problem right now but it might be in the future once we start getting some power upgrades in for this bad boy.

@PatOutdoors4 ай бұрын
The mantis X requires the gearbox fluid to be changed every 500-600 miles. Very low maintenance otherwise, adjusting chain slack every couple rides, full bolt checks on the suspension and brake components every few months, swapping out brake pads periodically (depending how aggressively you ride), changing brake fluid every other year.. very similar maintenance to a regular mountain bike besides the addition of brake fluid. My Talaria XXX or Surron - I just have to check the belt tension to the motor every few months.

Regen is worthless. The amount of energy you get back is negligible at best. Better to coast when you let off the throttle rather than have your bike slowed down every time you let off the throttle. A regen thumb throttle is nice tho you can use it instead of your brakes and save your brake pads.
