You are doing a fabulous job with these informative videos. Thank you. I am planning to pursue film and television production at Herts for the next intake. Cinematography is my strongest skill. Can you please provide information on the gear & equipment facilities which are available at the uni and a small tour around the labs ?

Thank you for watching😊there’s a wide range of equipment we use for shoots, unfortunately we’ve only done one shoot so far and the camera we’ve used is the Canon XF305. The equipment is stored in the loan store that we only have access to if we book the equipment. Sorry I can’t give you more information on that, we just haven’t had many practicals this year due to covid-19 but you should get a lot of use out of it next year! Unfortunately I can’t do a tour around the labs as we’re only allowed in there for scheduled workshops at the moment, I am going to be doing a day in life of a film student video next week as we’re filming so will be speaking a lot about equipment ect then😀

Hi! Oohh exciting, if you want to park on campus you have to get a permit, I’ve just had a look and it’s £183.33 for the year which is pretty reasonable for a whole year of parking!! You can do that through the uni website. But the parking spots are just round the back of the townhouses, you can see your car from the kitchen window and they have cctv in the car park so safe☺️

Hi, so there’s a shopping centre right near the uni called the galleria which you could try and look for a job at, there’s also a shop on campus and Starbucks, subway ect, that you could also have a look at, or there is also student ambassador, where you do campus tours and more on campus. So there are likely options available on campus and around campus rather than having to travel to London☺️

I don’t know anyone who studies that so I can’t really tell you, but you might able to find a contact email on the website to find out more from the course leaders. There’s a shopping centre near to the uni where you could likely find a job, plus jobs on campus, either being a student ambassador or working in subway or the shop for example on campus😊

This was super helfpul omg, wouldve loved to see the Southampton version before I came here!🥺there are no Ubers from where I'm from either so having them at uni has been amazing🦋 I shop at Asda too heheh, I'm like furthest from campus but closest to town so like walking to asda only takes about 3 minutes! Feel lucky💕 so unreal that London is only 25 minutes away omg!! I'd have rinsed that opportunity🥵 and yesss I've heard the shopping in Watford is so good xxx

Hi, there’s always off Campus Accommodation options, I’m off campus this year, you can find options on rightmove or through strats which is a student letting estate agent and they can help you find properties around the uni☺️

We have a club on campus with 2 different club rooms, and there’s a spoons nearby too, other than that there isn’t much in Hatfield, but there are places to go for drinks in St Albans which is about 15 minutes away and Pryzm in Watford which takes about 20/25 minutes ish in a car, which has 3 different club rooms, and it an excellent night out, there’s also a huge variety of places to go out for drinks in Watford and that there too!😊
