Tim and I ditched out on every day life for once and decided to go to Coney Island in Brooklyn. It's actually kind of beautiful.

If it's sponsored by Honda just say so at the start. Be honest. It wouldn't take away from anything; in fact it would allow you to actually talk about the car out loud and creatively use it to have fun in Coney Island. Instead, I now feel like I just watched one of those 30 second KZbin ads, only much longer. -_-

Allison B Yeah I love her! I completely understand earning money on KZbin and making a living off it. Some transparency would be nice though. I appreciate how ShamelessMaya does her plug-ins, just saying it like it is. Ah well.

ReallyRedPanda I'm not selling you anything. In Jurassic World they prominently featured products from The Hilton, Samsung, Verizon, Pepsi, Tostitos, Starbucks, Mercedes, and Coke. I was paid to drive a car to the beach for a vlog, but I really did try not to make this a really long ad (you know, me talking about the car for a 2 minute video). Sometimes I do sponsored stuff. When I go out of my way to make it clear people usually get even more angry. It's a strange double standard we have with KZbin versus traditional media that I'm still exploring on my own end. I had been planning to do a vlog, and Honda graciously offered to let me use their car to get to the beach--something I hadn't had time to do in 2 years since moving to New York. Less than half this video is me in the car, I just didn't want to be a jerk and not show it at all. I have a bit in the description for curious watchers, but to start a fun beach video with sales verbiage seems like overkill. In the case of say, beauty vloggers, where they are actively selling you a look on their face, I'd get it. If anything Coney Island should have paid me :P I'm sorry to step on any toes. I had a great day and have always wanted to do cute fun little videos with no pressure to talk from time to time. Much

Smoothiefreak Funny enough Mama Tonjes was talking about KZbin and money in the last Adventures In Roomating podcast, and talking about how everyone is still trying to get used to the fact sponsorship is just a part of things. The one thing I'm not a fan of is when KZbinrs feel they have to say a video is sponsored as if a baby was sacrificed to make it happen hahaha . Cause I'd imagined people surely appreciate someone being so open. That *is* a really good point too, I didn't think of it that way, how ads end up in movies all the time. lillimarleennight I don't think that you're dumb. I just think that the video is more about the beach than it is about the car. I express zero opinions about the car. There's no "gotcha" here. I promise. Just wanted to make a cute vlog in the city for once and it's hard to do in a high quality way with public transport.

It's just that I love your vids with your honesty about otherwise closemouthed problems a lot that it confused me that you did not say anything. Even though I don't claim to know anything about the advert industries and cooperating with them on a youtube basis (there is a science behind that, I heard) I guess a short "and thank you Honda for the ride" would've acknowledged that no "gotchas" were involved :) (no native speaker;) but I will visit the US soon and now probably check out Coney Island!Excited!
