You’ll definitely want to add a visit to Hopewell Rocks Provincial Park. It’s about a 30min drive south of Moncton. Super cool. I’ve got a video in my Canada Travels playlist.

it's a good city ( better then mine ). i recently went to Moncton with friends, over this week end. ( for the Comic Expo Convention). unfortunately , we only go to Moncton once a year. it always hit me hard tho , every time i return back home, thinking about how longer we should at stayed or how living there would be great. i'm from Edmundston. it only takes about 4 hours drive to get there, so it's no big deal. :)

Oh yes, I know Edmundston. Had to pass through it to get to Mount Carleton Provincial Park :) Sounds like a move to Moncton might be in order?? :D

hi there , I will be coming to Moncton to study electrician major in NBCC but I have some questions. First do you think it is ok now to study there as there is a new situation because of the covid issue. Because as I know Moncton is a small city and limited work opportunities, am I right ? Actually what I say depends on each people. What I am looking for is to find a simple part time job while studying and after that find a full time job on my field. I will have 1 year study and 1 year work permit. What can you advise about all these questions ? Because also NBCC sent me a message that if we want we can postpose our study to the next year.. And they told all theorical classes will be online and practicals in the campus. I also think that because I wouldn't need to go to the school for theorical lessons I will have more time to work flexible and more time on my own but I also think if it could be better to have the school in normal life conditions. I am a bit confused what to do in this situation.

Hi Marco, I wish I could give you more information but I don’t know Moncton more than what I experienced when I visited. Hopefully someone else watching this can answer your questions!

Moncton is named in honor of Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Monckton (1726-1782), who captured Fort Beauséjour and took part in the deportation of the Acadians. It would be like naming a town Hitlerton, after Adolf Hitler.
