The lanes were the minimum size they could be in order to steal the ball. Any shorter and it would always slide right by you. (The way stuff on ice works in Minecraft). You had to stand directly on it for a few seconds in order to snag it, which is why being a goalie was very difficult if someone had a good throw. But the guys knew that going in. Thanks for the legit suggestion though, man. - Jeremy

Achievements4Idiots yeah. But the cool thing about sliding objects and ice, objects tend to stop on the edge (that includes you!), which was the reason the first round took so long. I just thought it would be cool to make long passes, instead of limiting it to the person next to you.

Maybe jeremy and matt should've tested this map before they released it to be used in a let's play. Because this went from looking really nice and fun, to a back and forward game between the goalkeeper and the player in the lane infront of the goalkeeper. xD

They did test it. Jeremy even posted a comment saying they tested it. It's totally possible the game worked fine when it was tested, but not so much in the actual game. The guys probably wound up doing things that Matt and Jeremy didn't try. You also have to take individual skills and play style into account. Remember Thread the Needle? Geoff and Gavin tested it to make sure it wouldn't be too easy, particularly the final part. Gavin and Geoff had a hard enough time doing it that they thought the others would too. Turns out the others were better than the play testers. Or CTT. The cactus maze turned out to be a bad idea, destroying the gold blocks so they had to reset. Granted nobody who built the thing knew about cactuses being able to do that, but that doesn't change the fact that the maze caused problems. It was sheer dumb luck that the fault wasn't discovered until CTTX. I'd say the quality of this video has less to do with Matt and Jeremy's play testing ability, and more to do with the inherent issues with the play testing method itself. In the future they should probably do the testing with the people who will actually be playing the game.

Storm the Tower was too easy for the defending side, Invisible Creepers were not invisible, The Pit X was completely broken, this one is just pointless. Can we go back to Gavin and Geoff building?? The defender would literally be incapable of stopping it in that case. The whole idea is just bad. Maybe it would work if there were one person on each team in each space and no goalies. Maybe give everyone a weapon so they can fight for an advantage. Maybe bows, too. Put spawns nearby so respawns don't take long. I don't know if this would work, but it can't be worse than the current idea.

+Matt McConaha Maybe make the surface something other than ice then shrink the player zones? I can't remember how ice effects dropped item movement in newer (or when this was filmed, for that matter) versions. Switching to a grass field may just give the same result, but slower. Biggest issue was that they had inventory already. Going in with nothing and being able to pass as soon as you get the slime would be the biggest fix. This could be a fun game, with some tweaking.

A lot of people don't find her funny and that she tries way too hard to fit in. This is the same reason for much of the Kerry hate as well. There is a minority that don't like change or that's she's female or that she's only here due to Michael (in their minds), but they're not the majority of "Lindsay haters". Most, like myself, just find that she doesn't add much and isn't as entertaining as the others.

For a lot of RT fans on youtube, it really does revolve around their gender. I've seen people use words for Lindsay that they never would use for Jack, or Gavin or Michael. She gets judged a lot more harshly than others, too. I'm sure if Ray made the same joke as Lindsay, he'd get a pass and she'd get crucified. In general, women gamers get treated worse than the men. I really like Lindsay. A lot of fans do too, and more importantly, the guys seem to love her. I trust the AH boys' judgement more than random YT people.

Not all Minecraft ideas work out. Trust me, trying to come up with new ideas that haven't been done already in that game is harder than you think. Just look at their more brilliant ideas, like Wipeout, Hoot Hoof, Kerplunk, etc., they do have great ideas. But sometimes it doesn't go that well...

They should try.. Battlemage. That's where you have someone hit you with a weakness potion and then you fight larger and larger waves of spiders and zombies until only one person is alive. That person then gets to kill the potion thrower.

Now I know Ray's frustrations.... these last couple Things To Do's have been absolute shit. Thank god it's Achievement Hunter doing the commentary, because otherwise i'd kill myself. Matt, Jeremy, Lindsay and Kdin should really improve on these, because these fucking sucks. And please, do not get me wrong, I fucking love them and the the videos they are in. I wanna see Kdin, Matt and Jeremy in Let's Plays, too, but if they fuck up the Things To Do videos and Let's Play Minecraft videos, then they should not build them, but they should, however, appear in more Let's Plays. Because I fucking love 'n' hate them. Makes sense, right?
