I’m glad you enjoyed it. It may seem a bit boring if you love big city night life but I’ve been here for over a decade, and I think it offers easy access to Tokyo as well as the countryside. Thanks for watching!

Thanks for your video! It was helpful. Currently my husband and I live in Tokyo. However, I have a team in Utsunomiya and they said that if I wanted they can move me there. With the cost of living and such, Tokyo is just not my cup of tea at this moment. However, my husband doesn’t speak Japanese (English and some Korean) and I was wondering if it will be hard to live in Utsunomiya. What is the foreigner population? We are hoping to start a family in Utsunomiya if we were to move over there.

Thanks for your comment and questions. There certainly are less foreign people here than in Tokyo, but I have found it a pretty nice place to raise my family. It is pretty quiet and easy access to both nature and Tokyo. There are some resources for foreigners which might be of some help such as the TIA. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching. tia21.or.jp/life/english/01.html
