✅St Mary's Island ➡️St. Mary’s Island is actually a collection of 4 small islands in the Arabian Sea, just off the coast of Malpe beach. The 4 islands are called Coconut Island, Darya Bahadurgarh Island, North and South Islands. Collectively, they are also known as Coconut Island or Thonsepar. When you visit, you will be doing a tour of the Coconut Island that is open to public.St. Mary’s Island is located in the Arabian Sea right off the coast of Malpe beach in Karnataka. Very often, it is also referred to as the Malpe island of Udupi. A short ferry ride (15 minutes | INR 400) can get you from Malpe to the island.St. Mary’s Island is open to visitors in summer and winter months. It is closed during monsoons every year between May 15 - September 30.

✅Uchila Mahalaxmi Temple ➡️The original construction of the temple dates back to 1957. It was constructed to facilitate Mogaveeras and is considered an excellent example of Tulunad Architecture. Tulunad Architecture is a blend of styles from northern Kerala and southern Karnataka.It is dedicated to Mahalakshmi the central deity of Devi Mahatmyam. The temple was built in 1831 by Dhakji Dadaji, a Hindu merchant. The Mahalaxmi temple contains images of the Tridevi goddesses Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, and Mahasaraswati. All three images are adorned with nose rings, gold bangles and pearl necklaces.The Sri Mahalakshmi Temple is located just off NH66. It is a 23 minute-drive from Udupi and a 55-minute drive from Mangaluru.

✅ Ajjarkad park or Bhujanga park➡️Bhujanga Park is a spacious public space with walking lanes, areas to sit and relax and some creative exhibits, like this sleeping man sculpture.
How to reach? You can get off the bus at Taluk office stop and walk to Ajjarakadu area. It is about 2 kms from city centre/main bus stand- you can reach in Auto for about 40-50 rupees.

✅Hoode Beach➡️The Hoode Beach is located at Bengre. This beach is an isolated one and many people do not know about it. However, the beach is clean and also very well maintained. One can watch a good sunrise and sunset at this beach. This beach is rough compared to other beaches. There is white sand at this beach and also beautiful coconut trees. The beach is also a good picnic spot. There are also shacks at this beach for one to eat food at. One also finds a surf club here which is opened for the purpose of entertaining visitors. During the monsoon season, this place is a hotspot for surfing because of the rough sea.

✅Varanga Jain Temple➡️The Varanga Jain Temple in the small but picturesque village of Varanga in the Hebri Taluk of Udupi district is a popular pilgrim center for Jains. It is however a place that is relatively off the beaten track for other travelers. Its ancient Jain temples are surely among the most unique and treasured temples of Karnataka. The place is a “Paradise Found”, for connoisseurs of heritage, art, and architecture. It is also a place that evokes keen interest among historians and also a place that appeals with its stunning visual beauty that has an aura of timelessness. It is indeed one of Karnataka’s best-kept secrets.At a distance of 34 Kms from Udupi, 72 Kms from Mangalore & 22 Kms from Karkala, Kere Basadi located in Varanga is a beautiful Jain Temple located in middle of a lake.
