When I noticed bugs trying to attack my plant I used the diatomaceous earth and it worked well.i enjoy all your videos/ tutorials. I like peeking into your garden because it's amazing. Thanks for this. I'll be growing callaloo now for when my Jamaican friends visit. We loved visiting your country in our youth. We did medical missionary trips. We stayed with Jamaican families while there a couple of the years. We have helped a few of your friends migrate to the US. These are some of the best folks on the planet. Literally everyone one of them has returned home to Amity/Savanah la mar area and improved conditions in their country. Amazing people and I'm definitely growing callaloo in my greenhouse for when they visit. Thanks again for the info from Texas

We in Jamaica don't root it up we cut it each time it springs up so the calalloo tree last us for a good time and when it start to seed that when it get tuff we may leave that one for seeding to replant .so one tree may last for 3 months
@humbleservantshomestead7974 Жыл бұрын
We dont root them up either. This one is growing in our walkway which is why it was pulled up as a demonstration to show the root structure. We sell callaloo by the bundle as well as chopped and washed by the pound so we do a good job maintaining our plants through out the season. We have several videos showing how we do both. We've grown callaloo for over 12 years this way.

are you in the japenese beetle zone? You know if you put out traps you can feed the beetle to chickens. Cuts back on a lot of the leaf damage. over time it sinks the population. And you can actually freeze the beetles into blocks to feed it back to chickens/ducks throughout the year.
