Why the left side and not the right? Are horses more sensitive to their right sides usually?

I don’t know but that’s common everywhere. Watch movies or real life horses, everyone always goes from left. Also, never stand or walk too closely to its backside, it will likely kick you

You do all the tack up from the left side so it's the side they expect you from

It started from when people used swords you mounted from the left because if you mounted from the right your sword would get in the way
