The star rating of a hotel is about facilities, such as if it has a pool, gym, restaurants etc. Its not like reviews wich is customers opinions of it. You can have a very nice and clean 1 star hotel but it it just a room provided, no other facilities

you are absolutely right, but I was mentioning this because people expect luxury when they hear 5* hotel and most of the times it’s not the case in Egypt.

local sim cards do work, i bought 35gb for 9 euro. just have to enable the sim on your phone.

@@alpha33alpha yeah, i know some of them work, but mine didn’t. That’s why I said to be activated on the spot. I asked even locals to help me but it simply didn’t work… I’ve tried it on different phones as well, so it wasn’t because of my phone

Why would I recommend somebody to tip 20%? People come to Egypt on holidays to have a good time not to feel ripped off.
