Good score man...!!!,I buy used motors for the same reason,and on the raining days I build what I call Frankenstein motors out different parts,a d I got some motors that are not legal to race but they are fast an it fits my budget,......✌

Rajaa thanks for another great video but typically most bearings are damaged during the removal process because they are removed by pulling on the center race of the bearing which puts incredible lateral forces on the entire bearing this is why all bearing manufacturers or OEM's will always tell you to discard a pulled bearing.
@rajaa1115 жыл бұрын
Thats great info brotha, I always take my bearings out with the heat method, normally I discard the bearings but this one I was able to save.

Motor looks good! I don’t have any experience with these FX motors but they do look promising and from your videos that I’ve seen it looks like they boogie also! I’m not sure if you were able to ever try a old Werks motor B5 is one of my favorite go to motors that I buy whenever I see used ones out there that still have somewhat of good compression and or not beat up but I’ll buy those relatively cheap and use them till there’s nothing left😁

Steel wool on my dremel 120 grit and all that rust be gone🤟🏼 and while it’s rotating it helps the ball bearings rotate as well either sideways or back-and-forth spraying either fuel or alcohol or even marvel mystery.

At 14:04 you can see, that there is a little spot on the crankpin. There is no dlc coating on this spot. At my fx engine, it is the same. Is that normal wear?

Yes that’s wear from the con rod, it happens after awhile... it’s perfectly normal

Great vid as usual. How do you know if a front bearing is bad? My nova 28-8 is having rich conditions even when it’s warms up meaning I’ll getting A ton of smoke and it sounds gurgley. It will run fine for a few then start to stutter. Sad thing is it’s a fairly new engine, just broken in.
@rajaa1115 жыл бұрын
Usually when the front bearing is bad the engine will run lean, and will not idle or stay on, first check your air filter make sure you don't have excess amounts of oil on it, then check your glow plug it may be going bad, i would try a new glow plug just to be on the safe side, if that doesn't fix the problem I would take the carb apart and clean it.
@brionitro35155 жыл бұрын
rajaa111 I tried a new glow plug but has the same issue. I’ll check the carb but I can’t see it being that dirty because I run mostly on-road.

Ok my guy, you gotta go to the dirt bike store or auto store, and pick up the k&n airfilter oil cleaner. It's in a black spray bottle, that is the best stuff iv ever used for carbon and to clean the inside of my engines, I promise you, that carbon will fall off, no scrubbing required. Give it a shot.
