That's a bit different then how we end up doing it here. Usually the Colorado sun cooks it and half the test is to see if you can even seperate the shingles without a tear, the other half is trying to extract it

I see that a lot with OC and Malarkey, where it's almost impossible to separate without tearing it

The art of modified bitumen is lost. Now most of the people that do it are residential hacks and commercial roofers looking to fill a gap in their schedule. At least here in WY that's what I see

I have seen truly amazing quality of work here, but it's getting rare and the quality of materials has gone down
