I have just read that a word I use in this video may be very offensive, sorry if it is, I had no idea.

I feel like it's more the UK that seems to find "spastic" super offensive. Which is funny, cuz they're the same place that throws the word "twat" around like it's nothing lol. Either way, I wouldn't sweat it if I were you. Anyone who would hold it against you is a douche, especially considering the entire video is "Things we don't say anymore" lol.

Watched the whole video after reading this, not one thing was offensive lol People will find a way to make anything offensive nowadays, keep on keeping on with the good videos 👍🏽

Vet curious what that was. I probably repeated it...

@@raya9726 spaz can refer to being spastic which is making fun of people with disabilities. I can totally understand why people would be offended. We said lots of really offensive things back in the day that I didn’t bring up here. I think it’s good those words are gone.

I said “burn a cd” to a teenager recently, and they looked at me like I was crazy. 😂 “Don’t touch that dial” is definitely a goner as well!

Yes. I also say “I’m going to videotape it” instead of record or video or whatever people say now.

There's so many things that are supposedly not said anymore but i hear them said a lot. Language changes and also stays the same. You should be allowed to say whatever you like even if its older generation speaking.

Like is STILL super common! 80s valley girl era: Totally tubular! Gnarly, dude! Boob tube was late 60s/early 70s Funny. When i lived near Detroit in the late 70s, "bomb" was really common. As in "that's the bomb" for anything awesome. I never heard it before (or after) in northern California. Anyway, I made another comment 3 minutes into this video, saying this video was far out, which was totally early/mid-70s. Before that was outtasight! And alright! Separately, I remember at a mountain bike race in the 90s a complete conversation where 80% of the words were the F-word and dude. Still busts me up to recall it. Dudes called chicks "foxy" and chicks called dudes "hunky". Both were "hot". Babes was later. I know more from the 60s and even some 50s, but yeah. That's pretty old stuff. Another interesting topic, Linda!
