I still want to know if last Saturday was another 2022 Mizzou/2023 Auburn, or if this team really isn’t as good as we think they are. The Bama game will reveal a lot about this team.

remember in 2023 we had multiple weeks like this. We maybe should’ve lost to SC, and Auburn and we all thought we just weren’t as good.

Most people aren’t understanding what happened this past Saturday against Kentucky. 2 players (Brock Vandagriff a 3 year QB who knows everything about our offense and JDJ a defensive LB and a former starting leader on our defense who knows everything about our offense and defense) come out and have their new team ready for everything we have. Kentucky was as prepared if not more prepared than any other team could be going up against Georgia and they sniffed out the majority of Georgias offensive plays due to their knowledge they had on the inside. Not to mention Kentucky was pissed and had a lot of emotion and physicality in their stadium after that loss to South Carolina. Georgia was on the road in a hostile environment at night against a team who had the inside scoop of our team and played their absolute asses off and we still won. A lot of younger players got the opportunity to grow up Saturday and the good news about scoring so low is we gave Alabama 0 film to really study for the next 2 weeks. Meanwhile Alabama is racking up points giving Georgia every play in their book to study and prepare for the next 2 weeks. Georgia just had a physical road game at night and now knows what to expect in Tuscaloosa. Alabama hasn’t been in that position yet. Georgia has such a massive upper hand in this next game over Alabama and most people don’t even see what’s right in front of them. Georgia will not face another team this season that has as much knowledge of their team as Kentucky did in that game and they still won on the road at night. It was a BIG win for Georgia

I’ve said it’s just a confidence thing. Stetson did a lot of what he did just because he believed he could make any throw. The coaches had to reign Stetson in to make him better. It always seems like they are pushing Carson to play up to his ability.

That was an excellent call. Lassiter did go to the slot to follow Luther Burden... Outside of Malaki, if you want to count him, I dont know that UGA has that CB that they're confident enough in his versatility and skill this year to follow around a WR of that caliber.

Bama fan here. UGA has to contain Milroe and cover the deep ball. If they go at Milroe he'll cook them on the ground. If they try to bring help to contain from the secondary they'll get smoked with the deep ball. Underneath routes are a non-factor with Milroe. He for whatever reason cannot do them. Our secondary is super talented but as green as fresh grass. UGA has to worry about the pass rush which is brutal. Keep Beck clean and he'll carve up our secondary. In short Bama is an explosive offense only. It's big plays or nothing. No grind you into mush like with Saban. Defensively we pressure the crap out of offenses but secondary is as shaky as Joe Biden after 8:00 pm. Limit explosive plays and grind with the offense is the strategy for UGA.
@drakelynn3826Ай бұрын
As a dawg fan, I look forward to the game and do appreciate your perspective from the other side! I have to believe that Kirby will have those boys in check after squeaking by Kentucky and losing the #1 spot. He tends to use these types of things as fuel to the fire figuratively. Milroe is one of the most gifted athletes in the country and Alabama will know how to play versus UGA.. they always do. It comes down to who wants it more now. With the way the SEC is looking rn and how good many teams are, I believe this could be a make or break game for either team
@kevcambridge5910Ай бұрын
I think we are in for a nontraditional shootout among these two teams. They may play 3 times this year
@richtfanАй бұрын
the dawgs have to stop thinking about this team as being what bama has been since 2007. they're not that any longer. they still have a stacked roster at many positions, but the way they play will be different looking. they've largely been a complete team with saban. we really honestly don't know what they are with deboer.
@tonybaggett1984Ай бұрын
@@richtfan Very true. I want Bama to win but I'm also a realistic CFB consumer. UGA is coming in with a proven coach and staff, a loaded roster, and experienced QB. The most important factor is their terrible performance against Kentucky and the revenge they want for losing last year in the SEC title game. Smart is to good not to leverage that . If they come in hot I don't see how we are currently constructed to beat that. DeBoer can pull it off but on paper I don't see how the way this team is currently constructed. If they do I'll be impressed.
@topdawg78Ай бұрын
@@tonybaggett1984 and you are 100% correct. We do not do well covering when a QB breaks contain. And let's keep it real..... Milroe is the most explosive quarterback in the nation once he breaks contain. He puts his head down, he seeks contact. If we don't contain him, we will be obliterated. So I agree with your take. Plus I think the fact that both of these coaches have two weeks to put together a game plan should make this game an absolute classic. And honestly that's what I want, I don't want to see a blowout on either side. These are the two predominant programs in college football over the last decade and a half. Let's put on a show. Respect to an Alabama fan that wants to talk ball and not talk trash. 🙌🏽🙌🏽

the tight end situation just hasn't been figured out yet. delp doesn't look like a receiving threat as of right now. lawson luckie looks like the best receiver between the two. we do need to get reddell ready to play though because we have had a lot of success playing 3 tight ends in the past.
@dynamiicon0030Ай бұрын
Lucky and delp are both dawgs at receiving. It’s all of the tight ends piss poor blocking that has caused problems for the offense. If any of the tight ends are wide and have to block a someone in space, the fail almost everytime. If their next to the OT then they’ll block the piss out of a DLine or LB. Kirby gotta teach them blocking in space
