I was recently on a trip to Alaska and one morning at a real low tide, I found a pile of broken shells. Looking for some nice pieces to take home, I found a pearl. It measures between 12.6 -12.9mm

When I was young I went to the beach in Helensburgh (in Scotland) and used to pick mussels which usually had tiny little pearls in them - probably not worth anything- but I thought they were super cute. I used them on my Barbies as earrings and on their dresses. 💜

My late Mom had found a 3-4 ounce piece of Amber at a Gyp Rock quarry while helping my Dad fine good rocks for his sculpturing. She used my Daughter's rock polisher and when done, beautifully polished was a giant Bee inside. She brought it to a jeweler to wrap it in an 18 karat gold frame with a loop then added an 18 karat gold chain. The Jeweler told her approximately how old it was and how much it was worth. But she never sold it. She wanted to keep and occasionally wear her very valuable treasure.

actually de beers are sitting on hundreds if not thousands of tons of diamonds. They only release limited amounts for sale each year to keep the price artificially high for more profit
@joegvoll60173 жыл бұрын
Yeah. I heard about that a few years ago. I always just assumed that diamonds were the rarest gems on earth, because they cost so much. Then I read that Debeers owns like 80% to 90% of the world's diamond mines and the prices are artificially inflated by them being able to keep the supply of quality diamonds in great demand. I didn't believe it when I first read about it, but it's 100% true. I'd like to know what % of people are aware of this? I don't think many people are aware of it. Another interesting diamond related tidbit I heard/read, was that when Cubix Zirconia first came out, Pawn Shops lost a fortune because Cubix Zirconia is identical to a diamond. They fooled Experts and Pawn Shops bought them up like crazy because they appear to be super high grade, flawless diamonds. In fact, that's how they later learned to tell the difference between the 2. If it appears to be a flawless diamond, it's fake/lab made, because ALL Diamonds have some degree of imperfection. Cubix Zirconium even fools those high quality diamond testing devices that use lasers or light beams to measure and compare the facets Again it's because of how perfect the quality is. All diamonds will have inconsistent facets when micro measuring is done.

There's also benitoite. A clear to deep violet-blue gemstone that is only found in a few places in its "stony" form Japan, Arkansas and the foothills east of Fresno CA. And the only know gem quality (that can be cut for jewelry) source is a bit north of Coalinga CA. It has more dispersion than diamonds, the crystalline structure is also unique among other gems, and flawless cut gems can fetch several thousand for a single carat and upward of $10k for those over 2 carat. They are also florescent under Uv light.

When talking about the crystals the anouncer states that "the two ton horde could be worth 20 million dollars", however the number that is flashed on the screen is 2,000,000.

I found a century old coin(dated 1903) In a pile of sand while playing in it with my cousin around 10-12 years ago , I immediately showed it to him "look what I found", he snatched it from me and throws it away and told me don't do this let play 😑😑

He is right about one thing, a diamond’s worth varies with color and other stuff. But diamonds are really one of the most common gems in the world! They are just expensive because the trade rate is slow enough to make it expensive. But the special diamonds really are worth a lot. (I might be wrong about the worth of regular diamonds. btw diamond can cut anything and everything so they are sometimes used in factories.)

I found a rainbow obsidian sphere, made from lava. Jet black with red, blue, green and gold streaks of color. Most I've researched are solid black lava without minerals.

I 👀 for my whole life like hundreds of hours and then finally as teenager or so I found a super tall one with like 2 or 3 others by it, it was wild. Pretty sure you’re the only other person I’ve heard of it happening to 🍀🍀🍀
