I don't think chan used it for that, he said in his vlive that he liked the Maori haka since he went to NZ with his family one holiday and also he was a All Blacks fan. Before he actually incorporated it into the song, he made sure to research about it and then to see if it would fit into the song, like he did for 3RACHA's Zone.

I actually am from New Zealand (Filipino at first) and I will confirm that the dance move Chan did is inspired by the Haka. It is a traditional dance here and there is this group "Kapa Haka". In Kapa Haka anyone can join whether you're black, white, Asian. The All Blacks (our rugby team) sometimes do the Haka before a game and I never really knew the reason why but I think it's to intimidate their opponents. Going to the Christchurch situation we all had a minute of silence to pay our respects to the people who have lost theirs families, family members, anyone actually. Seeing as New Zealand is quite a safe country it is a bit of a shock for everyone but we all pray for Christchurch and hope that Jacinda Ardern will take care of the terrorists in Christchurch. *_Kia Kaha Christchurch_* *_Be strong_*
