Literally, the prologue has the most attention to detail than anything else in the game. That includes the environment. Prologue has best map and you can’t even get back to it in NG+. Missed opportunity at placing dope EE blueprint at the top of the tower too frfr.

DLC2 will probably have areas like the prologue and be as detailed. The prologue had a beautifully relaxing and immersive look to it.

the elevators being realtime could just be a very cleverly hidden loading screen. lots of older games did it to optimize frame time and load time, Metroid prime is a great example. when you entered a room, the rooms directly connected to you would be loaded and the doors would not open until the room was finished loading.

If I'm being honest I took advantage of most of those cutscenes by laying down land mines beforehand also fun fact when you dangle from the power cable it doesn't take up stamina like it would with the grappling hook or the rope, also can we all agree when he Sparta kicked the zombie off the cliff at 6:00 to show us the Dead Island Easter egg logo was definitely the highlight of this entire video!😂

Fingers crossed for a Dying Light 3! I absolutely love these games, and the development team is fantastic. While Dying Light 2 might not have surpassed the first one for me, I still had a blast with it, especially the incredible parkour - some of the best I've experienced in a video game!

The first 50 hours of DL 2 I was enjoying but still preferring DL 1, but then with the grappling hook and the paraglider and the central loop map and it's tall buildings the parkour is just infinitely better than DL1, and they fixed the bugs and physics DL1 is better for the story (obviously) and depressing atmosphere and is a classic masterpiece, but to me DL 2 now is even more fun to play (parkour and gameplay overall)

Dying Lights atmosphere is just so unmatched, it’s so hard to top that I’ve come to accept that DL2 can’t live up to those expectations and is just a good game on its own without the comparison. I miss the first playthrough of Dying Light, it was something else, the prologue of DL2 gave me that same feeling though

0:15 - it's a bug, where dead (and even corpse gone) infected still plays sound. Heard it a lot of times during night pursuits (yes, I was farming) - the most interesting detail is that dead viral or volatile changes its sound based on whether the pursuit is active or ended. Pretty anoying bug totally depriving you of audial enemy detection.

I haven’t played this game for 2 years. I stopped playing right when i got to the central loop for some reason. However i started playing again a few days ago and damn it’s good. I love the new updates like carnage hall and all events. I also manged to get my hands on glitched weapons so i can one shot everything which is awesome.

@@therealatomic6170 It completely lacks the vibe, ambience, atmosphere, and tension of the first game. The day night cycle sucks, the sky and shadows aren't dynamic. They took away the photorealism graphics and went with cartoony comic book graphics which breaks immersion for me. The characters, stories, and side quests are boring and forgettable unlike the first game. At no point playing Dying Light 2 was I even the slightest bit afraid or worried. The dev team the made the sequel are clearly far less talented than the first team in my estimation. Part 2 seems rushed and unfinished, the story seems completely discontinuous and disjointed, like five different teams wrote their own story and they just threw it all together at the last minute because they ran out of time.

Just don't get frustrated in the beginning, you really have to grind for a while to level up your character but once you do it's a sublime gaming experience!
