As someone who has had issues with mental health, I find it both inspirational and endearing that you are so open about your issues with anxiety etc. It just goes to show you should never judge a book by its cover, or in this case an actor by any of their roles because it doesn't reflect who they really are. The fact you play someone like Jay, who now seems like a polar opposite of yourself, just shows how good an actor you really are. Hats off to you sir, keep doing what makes you happy and know that your fans will support you and understand if you're struggling 👍🏼

Pretty much, yeah. I'll be honest. I originally subbed 'because Jay from the Inbetweeners started a KZbin channel'. But that's as far as it went. I'm interested in seeing who James Buckley is and I enjoy seeing a bloke that's had national success as an actor, who's the same age as me, just be a normal bloke that played videogames. Just be you pal, that's why your audience will stick around. James, if you're ever in Stoke (I know, I know) I'd love to sit down over a pint. All the best mate.

James, it's honestly fascinating to hear you touch on your mental health and issues with anxiety. Been fighting anxiety and depression myself since my late teens. It's a constant battle... but after a few years of it ruining my professional and social life I'm really starting to take back ownership of my life in general :) Great to hear you talk about it so openly, really helps people a lot more than you could even imagine pal! x
@completeditmate6 жыл бұрын
It can be hard. If you’re like that naturally. Especially if you suddenly end up in a hit tv show and become famous. It’s very overwhelming. And you even start getting criticized because you’re off the TV. And so you take a step back, spend time with your family and work on smaller less stressful projects, and then you’re criticized for not being on TV enough? That’s basically my life
@silentsauce39926 жыл бұрын
What's weird is I can completely relate to that (well not the ending up on a hit TV show and becoming famous part, ha ha). But I was known among friends for being very social and high achieving and then when I started having issues I, like yourself, started to do things that I knew would benefit my mental health (left University, spent time with family ect.)... but ended up facing criticism, losing friends ect. even though I was going through a period where I really needed them the most! But I am probably the happiest I have ever been right now :) Funny how things work out. And I can imagine you're probably much happier now, within yourself, than you were at the height of the Inbetweeners? Funny old life, eh?
