uncivilized elk has an explanation as to how martin maybe got into space. there is a promo art for the islands miniseries, where we can see Martin on a pirate ship with a head injury, presumably one he got from the guardian. the pirates also depicted in the pic are later revealed to be tree trunks crew and we know she had some relations with a grey alien species. maybe martin somehow got to space through tree trunks.

I'm guessing since when Jake wished the lich didn't exist the bombs didn't drop but we know the lich was the embodiment of the green catalyst comet ☄so I have a feeling the big orb/ball/sphere that took out the chunk of earth was the comet hitting as the bombs dropped (or more the bombs dropped because the Catalyst comet hit)

im pretty sure the second explosion wasnt a bomb like you would think but something more akin to Warhammer 40k vortex bombs which instead of a explosion are forceful telportation i think something like that teleported a chunk out of the earth and somewhere else whether this was a weapon or a escape attempt I'm not sure but due to how clean of a crator that was created i think it was definitely a form of teleportation

Things to remember. No matter how old BMO is supposed to be or believed to be he is still a kid at the heart of his programming and having his imaginary friend, probably based off of Mo's son, is just him trying to properly think. Martin is Martin. Man tamed a space moth and used it for his own purposes so he has been in space a good while before and after he was first appeared in the show at the citadel.

I have two ideas about what that second explosion might be: 1) It could just be their way of differentiating the weapons used by different sides in the Mushroom War. The green mutagenic bombs were used by one faction, and the pink/purple electricity based explosion could have been the other. 2) My more preferable theory: it was a Catalyst Comet. I haven't seen anyone talk about this, but we know the Mushroom War happened approximately 1000 years before the present of the show, and Catalyst Comets are said to hit Earth every 1000 years. A Catalyst Comet hits Earth in the latter half of the show, which we know only takes place over a few years thanks to Finn's age, so ergo a Catalyst Comet must have hit Earth either during or around the Mushroom War.

But if it hits Earth every 1000 years and does that much damage Earth would have been obliterated by then. Even the strongest and most evil catalyst comet (Lich’s comet) was only strong enough to wipe out the dinosaurs, but that was it. It didn’t cause the crater because the crater happened after the mushroom bomb went off. So I’m conclusion it’s highly unlikely it was a comet. The first option of it being the result of a global-scale arms race is far more likely

Phobos is in a decaying orbit and the series takes place so far in the future that diverse complex life has re-evolved after nuclear war. So a single moon around mars is likely correct

Something I haven't seen a SINGLE person mention yet and I don't know how it's gone over so many peoples heads: The leader of the Elves/the guy that was also with Hugo when they left Earth, looks just like Billy. They have borderline the same design and Billy has elf-like ears too. If that isn't Billy, it's definitely one of Billy's ancestors. A main give away that it actually could be Billy is the timeline. The explosions in the flashback obviously hints at the Lich. When the elf is thrown out into space it doesn't show that he died, my guess is that he somehow landed back into Earth. Correct me in anything if I'm wrong.

The "Earth Shattering Explosion probably was not a explosion at all, judging from the looks of it, it was much worse and can explain why asides from the mutations there is also extremely powerful supernatural beings that appear from time to time. It was a Dimensional Rip, it would explain why the hole was so clean and did not just rip the earth in half instead, what probably happened was that it was a alternative weapon or a escape plan by a whole nation or group of nations, and could very well either be in another dimension or simply gone all together.

I think it's pretty obvious why he's trying to terraform Mars there's really only one reason why you'd want food there. Eventually Ooo/Earth will not be hospitable. Either that time is coming soon or BMO is aware that it will eventually happen and he's trying to get ahead of it. What's really strange is that they already had civilization on Mars so I'm not sure what's up with that.
