You should float the rail off of the ground so your bottom end plate won’t dig into the bottom landing. Also your feet aren’t sitting level on the steps. If you can’t get footplate to clear step nose, use shims and have level feet deeper on the step. We always put our middle feet as close to the joint as possible to prevent separation. Bruno says you can do four steps in between feet.

Not sure what you mean by floating the rail off the floor. The rail is fastened to the steps for support. No need to worry about anything "digging into the landing;" the fixed rail at the bottom of the step is a quarter to a half inch off the floor. The folding rail has as a thick plastic piece at the end to protect the floor from damage.

Re my Bruno Elite 2010 straight lift. Made about 2018. I bought it used in good operating condition. The installation instructions show a steel "cross pin" to be installed at the bottom of the rail. The cross pin appears to be for the purpose of taking some weight off the bottom plate which bears all of weight of the gears and chair. The cross pin is to be installed through the rail using a template in a way that prevents the geat set from moving downward. The unit I have does not have such a pin. Any comments as to the importance of the "cross pin"? Also incidentally I could not install the rail per spec because it would have been too far into the landing so I treated the first stair tred as the landing. Of course this requires the passenger to be helped into and out of the chair at the bottom.

Since we had to change it from right to left we had a few mechanical changes. The effect is that it is now throwing codes. So we did a workaround - we put a two way switch connected to the battery and motor with a five foot extension. This allows us to use but without the upper limit and lower limit safeties. Still we did the whole thing for $750 and it works great.

There is no emergency button. If someone is living on their own and needs this device, they should have a dedicated "life alert' type emergency call button on their person at all times. The battery charges constantly as long as the switch is turned off on the device.

I have the bruno model sre 300 for some reason the seat will not stay in upright position it just fall down we checked the bolts and they are tightened is there anything i can do on my own that will fix this?Thankyou!

Take the bolts that hold the seat into the hinge. Remove the nylon washers completely and tighten everything back down again with some loctite on the threads

Staircases with turns need a "curved" rail system custom fitted to the particular staircase. Search for pictures of curved staircase stairlifts.

Yes. But you have to go thru the VA process and they decide if you medically qualify for a stairlift. Then, they decide what manufacturer and dealer will do the work.

Hey!!! ☺️👋 Next week, Friday I actually have a Stair Lyft being installed for my mom here at my home. It’s a company called Ameriglide.. I wish I would’ve known about you guys since I am located in northeast Philadelphia!!! I was just curious to know when it gets to the top of the steps does it swivel?? I think the foot rest safety feature is so awesome because that was a concern of mine especially because I have a senior dig.. Etc. 🥹🙏✨✨ thank you so much!!!
