I want to make a comment regarding mission mode. At least was the case for uniclr, a lot of the mission mode trials, particularly the later ones are "optimal" in the sense that unlike combo trials in most other games, uni trials tend to teach practical ways to route into combos, and teach you commonly used strings. Alot of the earlier combos, while not optimal damage wise, do present chunks of optimal combos as shorter combos and are definitely worth using unlike in other games.

Nice video! I am trying the game with kaguya but man she hard and others players have so much knowledge and skill combo already even with new characters! 9/10 online you can't play when your a beginner and it's more fun to play against the cpu xp. Waiting with high expectation your other video

Unfortunately anime fighters always have a relatively small but dedicated fan base so there is a very poor skill curve among the player base.

I just started playing last night and could not find anyone playing casual so I had to do ranked. Almost everyone I played had optimized combos making it very hard as a new player imo. I picked Mika as my main and oh boy trying to get in on characters with full screen combos is interesting. It took a few hours but I started to slowly get better. My win rate is abysmally low but my matches near the end were very close.

As much as I hate to say it Mika is currently one of the worst characters rn continue using them to get better but just know it’s very difficult for a newer player to do well with them

7:30 is very true, I was constantly running into a lot of players who were already really good, and since the game just came out, they were all in the middle of climbing to their actual skill rating. I'm happy to say, a few weeks later, the ranks are a lot more stabilized and I'm actually running into people my skill level every match.

Note: Carmine is actually one of the hardest characters in the game. This guy has negative edge as part of his core gameplan and his best setups.

i've been a guile main since sf2 so charge characters are normally easier for me than other characters... but vatista is definitely the exception. 30 years of muscle memory defaulting to down-back is hard to overcome, and i'm also not used to being precise about when i let _go_ of buttons either. i have won some matches just playing her like guile though, will i be handicapping myself if i just start with that while i try to work on the harder combos? i can do all her combos before 4-1 okay, but that's where i hit the proverbial wall (as many others do it seems). definitely been getting smoked in ranked but it seems i've mostly been matched with experienced players while they're still climbing, so it's hard to gauge if i'm actually doing badly or just out of my league

From tests that noodalls has done, ps4 version on ps5 has the least input lag, even better than ps4 pro
