My dear husband developed alopecia areata. He has only had it for a year now. No clue how it happened or what caused it. He loved his hair but now he isn’t as lively as he use to be. I try to make him see he is just fine no matter what. We had no knowledge of any of it until it happened to him. Now I’m doing what I can to help him feel better and learn as much as possible about it. I give you mad love and respect for being so amazing and upfront.

Thanks for sharing your confidence! I have Areata in my eyebrows and legs… I was insecure with my eyebrows, because one has always been more affected than the other, but there’s so many things I can do to paint an eyebrow on whenever I have an episode. Whoever is reading this you are beautiful inside and out.

When I was about 11 years old I completely lost an eyebrow. The doctors told my parents and me that it was alopecia areata. It grew again over time. I am now 36 years old and a few years ago I started losing the hair on my head. I can't do many hairstyles because my scalp shows. It's difficult many times but I try to think that we are not alone. Sending encouragement and strength, we are beautiful.

From my point of view, I consider that not having hair on the body is a blessing really, the only thing that perhaps would be or is a little tedious, is not having hair on the head but it is something less to pay attention to on a daily basis and only if you want to look different with wigs is it solved ❤️

Had Alopecia myself about 14 years ago that went away with treatment. I think it was stress caused. Much harder to deal with than you condition as your it was so patchy even when I shaved my head, ugh. Glad you are turning it into a strength in your life.
