Thank you so much for this video!!❤ I wish that more move-abroad content creators talked more about what is really needed before just picking up and moving abroad. There is so much discussion about exiting the states, but there should also be significant planning, saving, and self-reflection involved before joining the joining team "exit the USA".

These are excellent tips, Mary. Many people are eager to move abroad but might not have considered all the potential challenges. It's important to prepare thoroughly to increase your chances of success and avoid coming home early.

Thank you Mary for keeping it so real! I responded to your post when you visited my hometown of DC, and posted your photos at the Smithsonian African American Museum of History and Culture! I lived over in Asia for almost 3 years and enjoyed it but knew I did not want to live there for good! But, it allowed me to get to know myself better as to my whims! I know I do best visiting a place for a month or two at a time and returning back to my home-base in the states. Furthermore, as a mature woman I know I need and want access to my regular healthcare providers. So I do better with short term visits vs moving permanently! Great advice you have provided. Living abroad you have to be flexible like a slinky otherwise it might be rough and a long learning curve.

I agree with you, flexibility is key to living abroad, you get to learn more about yourself and your needs.

The quality of your video is great. I might upgrade to the pocket combo 3, I have the 2. And yes, "wherever you go; there you are"

@@Marysseasonedexpatlife The video quality is great but the audio was low on this video. The ads blew my ear out when they came on while I was listening to you.🤭
