The New ‘Show Me, Tell Me ‘Questions for 2023 Test Onwards For The UK Driving Test Inc Under Bonnet

Thos is a video explaining the new/latest ‘Show Me Tell Me Questions’ for the UK driving tests, including hits and tips for doing them on the day of your driving test. (The DVSA updated the questions in December 2017).
You will be asked one of the tell me questions before you start driving, and them a Show me Question to demonstrate on the move.

Q5 04:28 Tell me how you’d check that the headlights and tail lights are working. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.
Q6 04:47 Tell me how you’d know if there was a problem with your anti-lock braking system.
Q7 05:03 Tell me how you’d check the direction indicators are working. You don’t need to exit the vehicle.

Really helpful videos. I can't hear all the questions from the 'examiner' though probably due to the road noise. Can you tell me what the question was before the one about the horn? Got a bit of a dilemma, have been re training to drive since July last year, thanks Covid, I have my test on Friday 23rd, so have been using up the last of my booked lessons, only to receive a call from my instructor, who tells me she is unable to continue with my final lesson, and prep for the test on Friday, talk about panic stations, I have been driving an automatic Vauxhall Astra, off and on over the last 10 months, the Driving school, have been in touch and I have another instructor to help me out, but he has a Lexus hybrid, and we got a 2 hr lesson tomorrow, fingers crossed it goes well

Very nice video! Could you please explain what is the proper way of operating the clutch? With heel planted on the floor or using the whole leg? Since the clutch pedal in my car rests a bit high unlike other cars I am not able to put my heel on the floor and pivot. When I searched on the net I found most people use their whole leg (without heel touching the floor) to operate the clutch. Thanks a lot in advance!

Great video. But I got a little confused. Some Tell me questions the examiner said, for example, how to tell the indicators are working without having to exit the car. But the answer was to walk around the car to check. Did I get wrong?

You could use reflections, but if it’s a tell me question just say I’d get out and have a look, they basically just want you to tell them not show them 👍

Gamal Sharif unfortunately we don’t, There are plenty of good instructors out there tho, just ask your friends who they used and use the one that seems the most successful. Hope this helps

Your videos really helped with my first driving test today. I got no faults with my right reverse and roundabouts. Unfortunately I failed my test with 2 serious faults and 12 minors. I got 6 minors for steering wide and one serious for driving right behind a car due to which the examiner had to slow me down. Overall it was a great learning experience, but I've now booked my test for next month but I'm trying to find a nearer test date. I was fully prepared.

In excitement I forgot to make an update.. so three weeks after I failed my first driving test, I finally passed my driving test on my 2nd attempt with 4 minors on the 22nd February 2019! I made it! 😊
