Videos like this are extremely entertaining and helps contextualize professional basketball to us casual hoopers. More videos like this should be made as it shows how beautiful basketball is.
@berryesseen Жыл бұрын
Ben is so good at explaining what is going on to basketball casuals. His analyses are not like "this guy averaged this, that guy averaged that". He shows all the options the player had and explains what he chose to do and why. The little adjustments that teams do to counter a certain player/team are what make this game so entertaining.

@@stott2hot I would pick him in my top 30. But anything more than that is very questionable given his defensive skills and size. Yes he can shoot but it’s it.

Notice at 18:27, after Jokic flashes to the middle to collapse the defense, he even signals to KCP that he needs to lob it to AG behind him to complete beating the trap. Truly a basketball maestro.

They been partnered for about a year and half. They probably just got a deal done to put as many of his old videos on the platform and KZbin. Probably expect to have double uploads on his channel and the NBA channel moving forward this season though.

18:24 Jokic not only brings AG's defender into the middle, but also points out to KCP what he should do (points up with his finger). He didn't touch the ball in the entire play. These kinds of reads are what makes Jokic special.

Incredible basketball analysis. Understanding the game on multiple different levels, and thinking beyond meta. Thinking about how each move on the court affects the end result and how effective those said moves are. Ben Taylor is an incredible basketball mind.
@oldthug2309 Жыл бұрын
He’s so good at showing perfect examples of how the game evolves and grows even in as short a time at 48 minutes. Case and point, he shows how D’Angelo Russel manipulates the defense in a way that is only possible if you know the game VERY deeply (e.g. defensive schemes, coverages, how teams are switching, rotating, etc.) and if you’re able to identify how the defense is playing you in that moment in time, which is incredibly hard at an NBA level. Ben Taylor is not only able to identify exactly how the raptors want to play A.D., but he’s also able to notice the subtleties of how D’Lo manipulates the defense. Ben Taylor should be at the very least an assistant coach somewhere in the league. Thats how how confident i am in how much he knows the game. Im so glad the NBA channel is giving him the recognition he deserves.

I love Jokic's demeanor. And I share his mindset too. You don't need to be all over the place, be ultra passionate, aggressive, loud, etc, to dominate. I like his low profile. Not seeking the spotlight and just do what he's paid to do and deliver. That's professionalism at its best. I would argue that's more professional than Kobe. Kobe insane work ethic but also had unprofessional outbursts and drama. American players culturally have inflated egos.

In the beginning Tatum pass by smart. It's a walk. Got the pass, spun 2 steps after the catch with no dribble and dunked. Am right or wrong? I feel like he would need to dribble first then spin.
