We are finally coming in 2020! Family of five from Norway. In sha Allah!

Congratulations- no easy task to move with a larger family. It took us 3 months to settle: residency, school registration, finding the right house, banking … Can't get over the climate, almost daily farmers markets and food, and the nicest warmest friendliest people. My girl (age 10) is fully assimilated in school (including language).

Hi Sibel. I am a Canadian married to a Turk and have been coming to Turkey every year for 35 years. I love this country for all the things that you say but beyond that, the thing that makes me feel most at home here is the calm that comes from the wisdom of thousands of years of existence. There is a knowing here that "we will survive no matter what". They are not as frantic and hostile as Westerners. I agree, we feel way more safe here and the health care is much more efficient than our Canadian health care system. We spend our winters here in Istanbul and travel these country while we are here. Around every corner there is something new to discover. I would like to know why you gave up living in the USA to move to Turkey?

Ditto, Sandra. Love the schools here as well- My daughter joined with almost zero Turkish, and within 6 months she was assimilated-adapted to language and school. The school teachers and management: amazing.

Sibel Edmonds May I ask what school she goes to and what she’s studying. I’m in the us but I’ve been thinking going to turkey 🇹🇷 after high school. I love the country I’m just not so sure about the schools 🏫

This is weird that westerners find it weird to settle in Turkey. It's more developed that its neighbours and you can't finde similar quality in the region.

Soo beautiful 👏👏 Will you please make more videos and interviews with people who moved to Turkey?

Will do my best. It took 3+ months and a crew of 5 to produce these short 20 episodes. And do so independently. You'll enjoy the coming segment today on Healthcare in Turkey.

Good information, thanks! Nicely done video..one thing, please insert foreign names or words on-screen as they are hard to understand..at 2:12 you mention the city you reside but it is unintelligible to me.

I love what you are doing here Sibel. It's important. Turkey is an important place and too little known in Europe and North America. Have you found your true calling? Maybe.

World Travel- Turkey doesn’t come to the forefront. Probably because of it’s history.

Majority ?! Lol. It always has been. But we are not to bothered about this issue. As long as the person is good and respects turkey then we are all fine

I am sorry but I think you are paid to advertise this. I know many people who actually through 2018 sold their homes after living in Turkey and working there for 20 and 30 years run out. I know a British couple that the Turkish government took the husbands passport and he couldn't leave even to attend his sister's funeral. And the British embassy wasn't much help to their citizens. They got run out the moment they got back their passport. In addition please don't play Greek music pretending to be Turkish. I thought you were a good and true reporter now I see that you are just like everyone else. In Turkey if you don't go along with Erdogan's ideas you are dead meat!

you might be right, but over all, the countryside is pretty unique. you can find these kin of landscapes in greece or in any other Mediterranean country. but i think, turkey still stands out
