There were a few scammers around when we were looking for our whippet last summer.. telling them you want to see the pup in person before you shell out any money usually has the scammers making up some ridiculous excuse about long working hours etc . There are some horrible people about. Another great vid Would love to have a 2nd whippet when Peggy matures a bit. She’s 7 months now and wouldn’t be much of a mentor just yet

Great to see them enjoying the snow! We have got a 10 week old puppy and he is a total delight. He is enjoying his time in the garden and meeting new people as they stand on the drive to "meet" him. I know he is only 10 weeks old, but we have been trying him with a harness and lead in the garden and he does not enjoy it much. We are only trying it for a few minutes at a time to get him used to it. Do you have any recommendations for encourging/training him to want to walk with me? He will be getting his second jab in 2 weeks time and then we can go out around the village. Thanks

Yooooo that scam... So no lie, I was dumb enough to inquire about this Whippet puppy place that says they live in Iowa (I'll leave the details out). I was talking to the person and they said they just need my paypal and they would send a dog (cruel, for people that actually do this, imo) via airfare. I was extremely skeptical at this point, so I asked to see a video of one of the pups, and it was THIS FAKE ZIGGY DOG in THIS video. When I saw that picture of him, shivers went down my spine. Lucky for me, this weekend in Florida, where I live, I found an absolutely gorgeous 13 week old male Whippet. We are going to visit / acquire him this Sunday! Super excited! If you made it down to this comment, I would say be patient and the right pooch will come your way!

I was in the car and I saw the cutest little timid whippet it had a pink coat and it was so scared and frightened and it looked up at the car as it went past with its little carrot nose. Also I wouldn’t go to a breeder when there’s too many abused greyhounds and whippets that need rescuing like ex racing dogs, the true dog is the one that’s looking for a place to feel safe and loved again.

Hi Albert when use an high-quality food like you get from pooch and Mutt The ingredient quality is as good as puppy food and it’s a lot easier to feed both dogs the same food She’s doing very well on the adult food it’s mostly dried food with a slight bit of wet food added 👍😀🙏

I've always worked full time and have had dogs for about 20 years. I've had retired rescue greyhounds but there aren't any available anymore. I was thinking of a whippet or 2; how would they fair with someone who works full time? Would it be fine to get 1 or should I get 2 to keep each other company? I also have cats (not by choice) and I am stuck with them so the whippet(s) would need to be able to live with cats. I've heard mixed stories on that. That they are ok with indoor cats they are raised with but will kill a stray cat in the yard or if you let your family cat out in the yard it may be killed. My cats are not outdoor cats, so not to worry there I guess. They would be in a secure kennel while I would be away; my greyhounds were in their own kennels while I would work and then I would close off the kitchen area for more room for them; they slept all day anyhow haha.

Well there’s a lot there if you have cats you need to get a puppy so they can learn to live with cats , I think a dog should not be left for any longer that 3 to 4 hours max Whippet like to be with people Having two is a big commitment and they will a lot of your time as puppies too Hope that helps 🙏👍😀

Sorry my man. I’m back. As a whippet/greyhound owner/breeder for nearly 40 years, I can’t get my head around people promoting dry biscuits or tinned and processed food for dogs. Dogs need a species appropriate diet which is RAW animal protein and fat. As someone such as yourself who only has the best intentions for their dogs, you have to do more research into canine nutrition before promoting these processed, profit driven businesses. Clever marketing on pet foods does nothing for animal welfare but makes massive profits for the manufacturers.
