I’ve been living in Zaragoza for about a year and a half now and this is spot on. It’s a beautiful city and I feel incredibly safe. It’s also very walkable (but the summer heat and the windy winters can take you by surprise). It’s incredibly freeing to not need to own a car or being able to just go out at night anytime. You’ll always find a bus, train or tram that will take you wherever you need to go quickly. The language barrier can and will get to you though. Most times I feel very alone because people simply don’t slow down to let you in on their conversations (not their duty at all but it’s still awkward lol). Compared to other big cities in Spain, I find that Zaragoza has a better ratio of employment opportunities to cost of living and that’s the main reason that got me here. Also you can be in Madrid or Barcelona in less than 90 minutes by high speed train.

How would you describe the people there? Do you feel like it’s very difficult to fit in? What about making friends? Would you say the city is happening or more sleepy/orderly?
