Great video love watching Steve unlike so many others that bore the shite out of the sport with OCD he is a normal bloke. Maybe Fox Zig kit would have helped but like he's said not a Zig angler. I remember Churn Pool when it was a trout fishery Martin Pollard trout farmer sadly passed away then went syndicate i believe when sold.Nice video 👍

I had a rig published in carp world in the early 90s using 30amp fuse wire that I had been using for 10 or more years, it caught me some big carp....exactly the same theory as the Withy pool rig....it works so well knocks the Ronnie into a cocked hat...!!

good vid, sound guy, but my god every single bit of film ive ever seen of him, he goes on and on about the withy pool rig, ok he put some shrink tube a little bit longer, , its not splitting atoms

Ahh brilliant , atom splitting not heard that one . The reason you always see the Withy pool is I always get winter filming and that when I use it . I actually invented it before shrink tube was invented but thanks for the tip mate top man 👍👍
@rstephens8838 ай бұрын
Most of these anglers weren't born steve when you invented the rig, like you I started carping in in 1976 very different world back the perhaps better..
@kennetking14 жыл бұрын
Stevey just used Eggylad’s Noodle rig and called it a Withy?...Cheek of it! 🤣🤔
@Jamieporthouse3 жыл бұрын
Steve woulda been using it as the “withy” when “eggylad” was still in nappy’s mate…
@steverenyard575711 ай бұрын
Unfortunately it was the first technological carp rig ever invented thats why the companies and the public want to see it . Ive invented another 6 rigs on top of that ill try harder . Bloody hell im taking up golf 😢

Find them cast to them and if there feeding it doesn't matter what you're rig is called hopefully you will get a bite . I've seen this bullshit for years from sponsored anglers about I used a particular rig and bingo lol ...

He invented the withy pool rig 30 years ago and not a day has passed since without him telling someone he invented it. i struggle to watch any videos with this guy because its so repetitive, find me a video where he does not mention something he invented in the 80s borrrring move on. (no hate clearly very good angler just what he has to say on film sends me to sleep because its always the same)
@lazycarper79254 жыл бұрын
just said the same thing nearly and then seen your comment, he has never ever shut up about it, its not like he invented shrink tube
@frazz_87934 жыл бұрын
Yeah fort the very same. on a sticky baits video on christchurch last year he said he had to bin the withy pool off and used just a normal solid bag rig. But there he just said he ripped chrishchurch apart on it!
@chrispic6204 жыл бұрын
Makes me laugh nobody’s hating on someone who can fish, some of us are anglers and some are danglers
@Krone644 жыл бұрын
@@chrispic620 Ever watched the same movie 50 times because this is what its like. I thought about putting a comment before watching the video to see if i guessed correctly at the outcome.
@chrispic6204 жыл бұрын
What else do you expect from someone who’s invented something that works, have you invented anything all in fishing that marginally works? I don’t think so if you did you would like to show everyone that it’s good too
