I was really hoping to see people talking about how close FNS managed to make the game. The score doesn’t show how close this really was imo. Really small margins of victory. I think we gotta wait and see more from both teams, but a team with FNS seems generally better than a team without. Edit: I mean that 2-0 SEN doesn’t tell the whole story for either team. FNS had a calling masterclass on the attack half of Sunset, but even outside of that I think NRG look really promising on the pistols and anti-ecos, rounds when both teams buy seem to be the main issue for this NRG squad so far. That scrambling of the opposing defense on Sunset and the small glimpse at what this NRG team might be able to do with a bit more practice is just something I want to make sure people don’t look over.

You cant get into ot from 3-11 without great calling. Watch their attack round again and look at the minimap. Fns completely read their setups and had great midrounding. I will ahree tho their lotus looked incredibly shaky, but it is understandable because they didnt have the most time to practice together. Also sentinels pulled out a surprise comp so it was hard for nrg too

16:00 I actually think FNS shotcalled and set up the map perfectly this round. NRG lost that round anyway due to massive individual showings from SEN and a few bad attempts to stop the spike plant, but in the overall macro game of "I want my enemies to hit the stacked site", NRG won that very hard - a very encouraging sign relative to its previous showings. Considering the team has had much less practice than SEN and that I think the SEN roster is very very strong, I'm hopeful for its future prospects

Honestly I also think people are gonna initially have a hard time dealing with the new Neon buffs. EG beat loud (jawgemo), furia best 100t (nwzera) and nrg almost beat sen (victor). The accuracy while sliding + coordinated util is actually nuts. Zekken was just insta dying on sunset at the beginning of every round because there was just no counter play from them

NRG lost antiecos in lotus btw and SEN used a one and done comp which almost everytime assures you the map win. 2nd map was close and Sunset is literally sentinels best map, even more than Split and Lotus you can see the stats.

This team is full of world class players, like the optic core + ethan & demon1 who is world champs before, but the way they failed so miserably on split 1, and how they get this good on split 2 with barely enough time to prac, it's really bothering me. I think they are all good players but they are very over reliant towards stratbook and IGLing. I think FNS is a good IGL so that his friends barely even knows what is going on they just do what they are told. And for Demon1 and Ethan, think boostio is not a bad IGL but they had tons of time to really memorize their stratbook

I think part of why NRG looked so good was bc FNS is a good IGL. Round 7 I think is a great example of NRG's overreliance on him. It's an advantaged 4v4 but they're slow to go in, probably because they're waiting for the call from the one person who isn't there. And I'm sure FNS is telling them to go, but it just isn't enough to beat a team like Sentinels.
