“ Every youtube video is like a soldier who is out there every day. Never getting sick. Never getting tired. Never getting pregnant. Never on maternity leave. “ What I understand, is that all of the above listed states are negative situations that we should want to avoid. I personally feel that ‘getting pregnant’ and ‘maternity leave’ don’t belong in that list. Or maybe that’s just a ‘bible thumping’ thing to say and is not rooted in any feelings of mysoginie or adherance to patriarchical beliefs. That being said. Great value in the concepts in this podcast. Very happy that I tuned in. Might order the book.

until you are the one that has to take care of that pregnant woman with your money, as an employer, and maybe you also have children and are already trying to make ends meet.
@ThisAndThat4All7 ай бұрын
@@emanuelec2704Brilliant Idea! Let's take 2 people to create a child but then punish only 1 of them for it, by suffering all the negative consequences by themselves! 🥳🥳🥳 But wait a minute 🤔🤔🤔... In this current amazing economy, where people are forced to have 2 full-time incomes to barely even survive, actually both of the "creators" get punished, or maybe only the men 🤔 Because if women get denied work because of potential pregnancy/maternity leave, they are forced to only procreate with those men rich enough to provide for both of them with 1 single income. Since the majority of men in the US don't fall into this category, it will lead to an even greater epidemic of incels than we already have.

Which can be counterproductive if not monitored strictly. I personally have to beware of shiny object syndrome because I can easily get my attention diverted with the next best marketing technique or a million other tangents! It’s a daily struggle especially for someone with ADHD. I e come up with a few techniques I use personally to combat these issues.
@tube-master8 ай бұрын
@@nomadicgodking Absolutely, shiny object syndrome can be a real challenge, especially for creatives and those with ADHD who are naturally inclined to seek out new and exciting projects or ideas. It's great that you're aware of this tendency and have developed personal strategies to manage it. Sharing these techniques could be incredibly helpful not only for personal accountability but also for others who might be facing similar struggles. Staying focused and minimizing distractions are key to productivity, so keep refining those strategies and finding what works best for you. Stay on track, and keep pushing forward!

@@tube-master thanks for the encouragement! I’ve been procrastinating on making content on that exact subject. But then there’s the imposter syndrome that kicks in and I question myself and my ability to be a voice of authority on it. You helped me to rerealize that I don’t have to be an expert to share what has worked for me!

Great video❤Parkinson’s Law: Simply put, if you have 2 weeks to complete a task, it will take you 2 weeks to get it done; if you give yourself 5 days for the same task, you'll manage to finish it in 5 days. Inadequate deadlines often cause procrastination and spending too much time on trivial matters.

@@nomadicgodking I understand your point, but I respectfully disagree that someone's ethnicity or occupation should be the basis for whether we listen to their advice. The most important factor is whether the person is knowledgeable and qualified in the specific topic they are discussing, regardless of their background. Expertise comes from education, experience and understanding the subject matter, not from one's race or job title. The most credible advice comes from those who have demonstrated expertise, not from assumptions based on superficial characteristics. The key is to evaluate the content and merits of the advice, not make generalizations about the messenger.
@nomadicgodking7 ай бұрын
@@BeDesignfullyYou you clearly made an assumption about how I was referring to the guy. I was simply stating he was an Asian guy. I don’t think that because he’s Asian he’s more or less qualified to speak on a subject. I even implied his information is credible because he’s a DOCTOR not because he’s Asian! wtf…. I don’t even think that way. Apparently you do because you projected that image on me. You sir need the help, not I.

Excellent episode! "...until you accomplish your next most significant priority, everything else is a distraction." - Vaden A practical example for a content creator might be to ease up on the KZbin posting frequency in order to create the digital product that is the real priority. Also, creating clips from old videos to put on KZbin or delegating the clip creation process could help to free up the time needed for product development. I'm definitely wrestling with too many focuses right now. Completing ONE high priority task at a time is definitely the way to go!

I don't get it when people say that you can only focus on your goal... Such as the man saying that everything else is a distraction. Some people cannot solely focus on one goal until it is completed, and ignore everything else. I am caring for my elderly mother. What am I supposed to do... Ignore her needs until I accomplished everything?
