Getting to the 4000 watch hours is what takes forever, getting subscribers is very easy especially from the ytshorts...ive gained so many subs but they never watch the long form videos 😊... Also,ive seen many successful KZbinrs getting over 100k views on their videos without them putting any tags or rankings, please explain this

The is the purpose of step one: reverse engineer. If you decide you don't have a target audience, don't care to earn money, and just want to make videos for fun -- that's amazing. You have something most creators lack: CLARITY. 👊🏻💯

Research is absolutely essential! Look at what users are searching, use KZbin research tab in the KZbin studio. Thumbnails. Test out different thumbnails. What type of content performs better. Shorts is the whole another universe.

One thing I regret is that I did not start my channel earlier. I think there is no substitute for time spent as a KZbinr as the metrics on KZbin only tend to grow, like subscribers etc

Currently sitting at 750 subs and a terrible representation for watch time 😅. But…I feel that if I approach this journey from a mindset of being grateful for every small improvement and anything I put into the channel as a blessing, it might not be such a ‘difficult, hard, impossible and I hate the algorithm type journey’. I see so many discouraged people and I think it’s mindset over anything. If you expect things to be terrible, if you expect KZbin to ‘hate you’, that’s what you’ll get. As Sean has mentioned before, your biggest competition or obstacle is YOU.

Great stuff, as always. I really love the point about analytics at 11:25-11:50. Reminds me of W. Edwards Demming on process improvement. If you over-analyze one video at a time, you will end up with a WIDER set of changes than if you do 50 and analyze them all. Produce, produce, produce. Then analyze and tweak. The repeat to see if changes worked.

95 subscribers more to hit 8K, still can't believe I made it this far. 100K seems like light years away but enjoying the process and journey. This being my creative outlet, never knew in my wildest dream to even thought about being monetized or have subscribers. idk, I do content because I enjoy it. Its all for MY happiness. If others want to follow me on that wave, there's room for everybody. I just don't like how this always seems to be framed in a Us v Them antagonistic and adversarial approach. I do what I do, the only person I'm fighting against is the person I was yesterday and I try to get better and learn more. But the final goal is "What makes ME happy?" IDGAF about what makes other people happy. That's THEIR problem. So I guess I'll never have 500K followers or make $25,000 on KZbin. That's OK. Because I'll be happy and sleep just fine with that. I make more money from my baskets of eggs.. KZbin is my hobby, and that fine.That's good, bc KZbin is pretty stingy. I'm sure your content and channel is fine for people wanting to make KZbin their career. Its just not for me.
