It takes time to learn, that’s for sure. A video like this is probably more so meant for a beginner to come back to. They find an effect to try out, and then slowly go through the video, pausing it, and implementing it into their edit!

I have tried FCPX but I've stopped using it because it uses up so much of my storage. I was using premiere pro for over 10 years but just recently started using DaVinci Resolve and I still can't believe it's available for free. Your tips are making me want to give FCPX another try though...

If you edit from an external hard drive and house your cache there as well, that will help with the storage issue. 😀😀

@@NursesToRiches I create a new library for each video and within that Library a new project for each type of content. 1 for YT video, 1 for Reels or shorts etc. That way I can use all the footage from that one shoot to repurpose content across different platforms and cross promote my channel.

Awesome. My favorite was the blur (where you show the masking)! The Ken Burns effect is also a great subtle touch to add some visual interest. I made the jump from Premier Pro to FCPX and it's been a HUGE time saver. Thanks for sharing.

The third effect is cool. Is there a way to make it copy-paste-able? What happen if instead of 3-frame long object, you use create a key frame of the position every 3 frames? It moves between positions 'gradually' instead of choppily but I think 3 frames is still a short time so the effect still holds.

Does final cut have usable noise reduction like Da Vinci resolve? The precision of using a dot for face tracking is an awesome idea. Definitely learned a lot in this video.
